Preferably a Premier League club. Promotion surely the aim for Watford this season? Liverpool midfield isn't great at the moment, Lucas and Gerrard play every single game regardless of form. We need a dynamic, powerful DM and a box-to-box player really, no real creativity apart from Coutinho. We really missed out on Wanyama, Southampton have a good player there.

Absolutely but we're not looking like a promotion worthy team at the moment, shipping too many goals to get the points we need. Plus our strikeforce is not performing as it did last year, we need Abdi back from injury to create chances. Wanyama is such a force, every Premier League club missed out on him.

I'm a Liverpool fan. I think Sterling has the potential to be a good player, he's very tactically aware. Although you'd rather see a young player going all out and attacking he actually does the dirty work quite well. He's still young - needs regular games, should loan him out in my opinion. Henderson's an absolute workhorse - important for any team but not sure he has the ability. Most young players it's too early to tell, they need less pressure.

A loan would definitely help Sterling. I'm a Watford fan so I'd take him here because as my dad says there's no substitute for pace! Well you need that at Liverpool especially given the injury-proneness of Lucas, the decline of Gerrard and Coutinho being an attacking player. That's very true, just take Rickie Lambert for example.

Yeah Townsend has done well. I'm still not convinced with a lot of our young players though - Zaha, Sterling, Barkley and even Townsend to an extent. They all have potential to be good players, some very good but the way the media and some fans talk about them you'd think they were some of the best players in the world. Always has an adverse effect...look at Carroll, Henderson, Cleverley. Not as good as some claim.

Personally Sterling just seems fast to me rather than having high quality footballing talent. Townsend I think won't falter like the others did, he's more mature than the others you mentioned were when he properly hit the big time. Barkley definitely isn't an England -standard player yet but Henderson has improved a lot recently. Not many players can handle the expectations of England fans - how Rooney, Gerrard and Lampard made it this far is testament to their character.

I know what you mean. We squeaked through in true English style. I don't there's as much expectation this time round, which can only be a good thing. One thing I like about Hodgson is that he's not afraid to play the youngsters.
#56 - fmaestrolol (11/04/2013) [-]
It's just what we do. I'm especially pleased that Townsend got his chance, although that might be because he took his chance, unlike Zaha and Sterling, who in fairness are 2 and 4 years his junior.

Though true, I can't help but feel we made a meal of it. That being said, I'm more confident about 2014 than I was about world cup 2006 and 2010.
