They're supposed to inform u of the risks before u sign up. If the guy got an infection, they weren't just using electrical stimulation, they were poking through the skin, perhaps to get feedback from electrodes. U should get into experiments, as long as u understand the risks involved, and u can get some benefit from them (without risking infections, for instance). They more ppl participate, the more quickly science advances.

Science thrives through trial and error. Evolution requires something bad to happen to learn and overcome that weakness. Science evolves as long as people are willing to take a sacrifice for mankind. The greater of the good, as one may say.
I also enjoy your little statement on the existence of science. Really clever..
