Not really there density is about a 4th to a 5th of iron and they have none of the rigidity, it would be about the same as the guy in the video jumping off the chairs and landing on the hard wood floors without bending his knees.

In Germany, this is considered normal and appropriate, but my english teacher scolded the shit out of me when I wrote like this in my research paper. So fuck it.

It's interesting how things like this can vary so much depending on country. When writing in Swedish, for example, longer sentences are generally discouraged, but not so much in English. It makes it all seem quite arbitrary.

I find its mostly about if you were speaking it, commas go where you would stop to breath but don't want to end a sentence. But I don't write much so what do I know?

My teacher always told me that in English you SHALL NOT write long sentences, like it's a comandmend or something.

Its really easy in English to make a run-on sentence without realizing it (if you are a non-native english speaker), so your teacher is probably steering you away from it. Any real long sentence can be broken up into 2 sentences and still makes lots of sense.

The same applies for German, but the discussion is about weather or not it's necessary to do so to keep it "readable". I for one never struggle to read any run-on sentences anyone writes, but that might be because I'm from Germany. However, many people who I've chatted with said my english is very good and that they didn't notice I was a non-native speaker up until the point when I told them. And I basically write run-on sentences all the time. So I guess it isn't necessary for good english. And in my opinion, in the field of research papers and such, sentences with a "complex", but clear structure, help to make the paper seem more "legitimate", if you catch my drift. Then again, English people don't use commas as much as Germans do, which probably makes the sentences a whole lot worse to read when written with "proper" English punctuation.

Well, when actually talking to people its impossible to "speak" a run-on sentence; you run out of breath. Structure kinda goes out the window when your speaking. I am talking about writing when I talk about run-ons. Yeah, I am a physicist, and yes I know exactly what you are talking about with the commas on research papers. My opinion is that they are annoying as hell, but you get used to them. Its much better to proof-read a German's paper rather than a a Chinese paper, so while it can be annoying its fly buzzing annoying, not stop what you are doing annoying.

I was talking about writing as well. And in Germany, we speak in "run-on" sentences. Technically they aren't because it's normal sentence structure here. But oh well, I guess I can't just stop doing it, I tried it in school but if you are under stress in an exam you write the way you do and can't proof-read it in a way that would stop run on sentences from being present. You can't do that kind of proof reading in handwritten exams.

I think the biggest problem with the Olsen twins was an eating disorder (anorexia or bulimia) and one of them was far worse than the other. Years of malnutrition can cause early aging as well and I remember reading somewhere that one of them only weighed 88lbs for a while there which is extremely unhealthy. However, the eating disorder could have been the result of drug use, which makes things even worse.
