But my good sir, I remember seeing the word "ass" in a word puzzle in third grade and thought it was hilarious. It's not like I'm going to take the real puzzle I had from many years ago.

Ah, i see i fell prey to the optical illusion here, thinking along the lines of how a plane flies, it is more logical that the black line represents the close side of the cylinder. Due to my background in drafting, i tend to read more into the lines of a drawing, and how they interact with the subject matter at hand.

see the icon of the plane at the end? it overlaps the dotted line of the cylinder, thus it is closer

also why am i getting thumbed down for helping him understand it?

You get a red thumb because your explanation is in correct. The plane is heading left and slightly at us, and the white line at the very beginning shows that it is at the bottom of the cylinder. The plane then pulls up showing us the belly of it, because it was moving at us and there is a full spin around the x-axis, that means that the black line is indeed the 'front' of the cylinder. To provide further proof as the plane reaches the end of the maneuver it is still going to the left and at us. If the black truly meant the 'back' of the cylinder, then that would mean that the plane just went up rapidly and descended rapidly with no roll or spinning involved. I believe that this certificate will back my logic.

I'm confused... both these comments are saying the same thing. only one is a though out comment and the second is a pic that is used often. yet one is receiving hate....

I don't feel like reading 3 lines of text when one can do the job AND be funny.

jewlube used sarcasm, this goes over many people's heads and they think he is serious. Other people might get it and thumb up jewlube because he is humorous about it.
