There's not really any need to farm Giant Souls. Once you obtain 5 Giant Souls Vendrick has normal defense stats, any more than 5 won't effect his defense. You can easily get that many without farming for them.

One of them requires you to kill the Ancient Dragon, though, so that might be a problem for some people.

I am not saying that he is hard. But people might not know all this shit. Besides, I dislike that shield.

Well you could always do the memories again in NG+ tbh 4 souls is enough to beat Vendrick on your first playthrough.

farm giant souls... did you even play the game ? You have to visit memorys of giants to take their souls. thats more likely: you have to do 4 anoying as fuck mini dungeons to bring his armor down.
User avatar #13 - fatspartan (07/31/2014) [-]
When I meant by farming Giant Souls is using Bonfire Aesthetic in that poison statue area before the Rotten and kill those two giants for a Giant's Soul

How do you fight him? I mean, I have seen him ingame, but he was just meandering around in the room after the royal guard boss.
User avatar #15 - Zeigh (07/31/2014) [-]
If you attack him a couple of time he'll become hostile and the fight starts. If you fight right after you beat Velstadt then you don't need to giant souls, if you fail to kill him however you will need to get the souls in order to bring his armor down to manageable levels again.

The easiest way to kill him is to just stick next to his left leg and swipe at him occasionally, so long as you hump his leg like an overactive puppy you can't be hit.
User avatar #14 - nywrestler (07/31/2014) [-]
If you don't have Giant Souls in your inventory you will need to hit him SEVERAL times to get him to engage in battle because you will be doing basically no damage to him. When I first came upon him I only had one or two Giant Souls in my inventory and it took like 8 sunlight spears to even get him to engage.
#33 - anonymous (07/31/2014) [-]

Just hit him once or twice and the typical Boss Health Bar will appear on the bottom. Then, he'll make like the pizza and become aggressive. I won't give away his fighting pattern cause I don't think it would be a good Dark Souls experience without good ol' trial and error.

Alright, so you and whatsherface are running from Songbird and the girl teleports you and her to escape/defeat Songbird. Next thing you know, you are at the bottom of the ocean watching the Songbird drown right outside of the underwater distopia known as Rapture, and as a Bioshock 2 supernerd, I started geeking out

how about when you find out Booker was actually Comstock in an alternate universe and Elizabeth was his daughter.

Here's another kicker, did you catch that the Lutece twins are actually both the same person from alternate universes? The female Lutece pulls the male one through to her world.
#15 to #13 - JHDog (03/29/2013) [-]
ready for this. Since there are other universes, Booker went through Columbia multiple times. 122 times to be exact, that why there were a 122 tallies for heads when he the twins flipped the coin. Also, going in the lighthouse, he had to ring the bell in this order (from left): x1 x2 x2

Holy fux I hadn't caught that

You're in Rapture in Bioshock 1 as well. Actually the exit you take out of Rapture in Infinite is the same entrance you take into Rapture in Bioshock 1

I know, I just liked BS2 just the slightest bit more than 1
User avatar #12 to #10 - jacknackle (03/29/2013) [-]
The only thing I really liked more was the dual wielding.

My favorite line from infinite so far was "There's always a Man, There's always a Lighthouse, and there's always a City"

That single line made me ponder how all three games coincide.

I cannot recommend this game enough! Incredible graphics, insane gameplay, and a story that will splatter your greymatter all over the place when it blows your mind!

I'm in a state of perpetual anxiety, and excitment/sadness after playing Dishonored and watching The diary of Anne frank in the same 4 hours, that may only fuel the experience though.
