People, including you, cared enough to reply.

FJ talks a lot about supporting gay rights so it shouldn't be far fetched to believe you'd care about the equal rights of women. Emphasis on "shouldn't."

Well, it just gets personal when you assume they don't have a girlfriend.

The majority of people on FJ say, "I am such a nice guy, that's why girls don't date me" and claim about getting friendzoned
User avatar #289 - facadeon (01/14/2013) [-]
The collective Egos of all FJer's just don't appreciate it when someone says they can't get a girlfriend, so they red thumb it until it disappears.

That is false. All birds that has ever lived are in the same family, they belong in the theropod dinosaur group, like Velociraptor and Tyrannosaurus. But as I said, it's hardly to best preserved dinosaur remain in that sense.

They might all be from the same family but you don't just see a Blue Jay and say, "Hey dude, look at that dinosaur"
User avatar #58 - tomtomat (01/13/2013) [-]
You could, actually. It's kind of mind boggling to think like that, though. It has been an accepted theory among scientists for a couple of years now. :D

"You’ll hear people tell you that birds are dinosaurs, and that is supposed to blow you away and make you go all gaga about birds and evolution. People also say that hyraxes are elephants, but they are so distant in their relationship that it is little different than saying that deer are a type of pronghorn antelope"
#116 - atmdk (01/13/2013) [-]
I have to piggy back on your post because its what I tell my friends all the time. Saying birds are dinosaurs is entirely correct, BUT so is saying all mammals are reptiles. The problem with dinosaurs is that they don't fit into either birds or reptiles, they are an intermediary (sp?) group. In reality all life is a continuum and placing animals in groups like the Linnean system does is, imho, an outdated idea.
User avatar #149 - tomtomat (01/13/2013) [-]
I like your way of thinking. But, I would place mammals with reptiles in the same way putting birds into dinosaurs. Why? Because there is little to no difference between a modern bird and a non-avian dinosaur, at least the theropod ones. Give Microraptor a beak and shorten its tail; you have a bird. Mammals and reptiles have completely different body functions, as in cold- vs warmblooded, the embryo starting point, milk vs no milk, etc.
User avatar #39 - facadeon (01/13/2013) [-]
Again;

The paw is from a Dodo or some bird from the Oceanic area, not a dinosaur, it is actually about 500 years old instead of 50,000,000 years old.

No dude, you aren't bad for this. Alot of people take everything I write here for granted, as you can see. However, it's very easy to look up this dinosaur and see that it's nowhere near to be the best preserved dinosaur foot, since we still have other bird feet to look at today. It is a dinosaur though, an avian one. :D

Quite, but he could as well post a pic of a frozen chicken. What I meant was that it's not a dinosaur in common, not very accurate meaning of that word. Still, thanks for pointing it out.

Exactly! A frozen, or even better, an alive chicken would absolutely be a better preserved dinosaur. ^^

These bird were from recorded history however, not from prehistory. So it may be so that some birds might be considered dinosaurs, this one is in fact not a dinosaur.

That is false. All birds that has ever lived are in the same family, they belong in the theropod dinosaur group, like Velociraptor and Tyrannosaurus. But as I said, it's hardly to best preserved dinosaur remain in that sense.
