Just look at EVERY SINGLE EA GAME and you will find your answer
#397 - evenx (04/24/2015) [-]
That's laudable, but you are missing the point. I'm not pissed about the gameplay, I'm pissed about everything AROUND the gameplay, and the fact that EA is trying to sell me a game that I havent even gotten a freaking screenshot for, while at the same time apologizing to me for removing a bunch of content and charging extra.
The thing is, even though some of the post's points are assumptions, the confirmed facts are distressing enough as is.
TLDR: Im not saying "dont buy battlefront" or "battlefront is bad". Im saying fuck this preorder ploy, and fuck EA's disrespect.

im using firefox and it freezes all the fucking time.
outdated flash animations? ded.
saving an image, waiting for the hard drive to spin up? yeah lets freeze until that is done.
youtube? dont even get me started.
i have a new pc with 8 fucking cores, my money went flying out the window and firefox is still a laggy freeze happy bitch.
i use it because of some certain tiny functions and i'd chose chrome any day if it had those.
so yeah. lets be honest here. in the big picture chrome is fucking superior.

yeah Adobe just went and made a brand new flash specifically for Chrome, and the one for IE, Opera and Firefox is shitty. It's not that slow for me though, but I use Waterfox and it's a bit faster than vanilla Firefox in my experience.
also number of cores doesn't matter when the program only uses one.

I mostly switched to Mozilla due to concerns about privacy. I hate the idea of an 'integrated account" which connects all my account together. So I try to make cuts where I can. That's not to say I don't have Chrome installed and don't use it from time to time, but I try to keep my internet life as private as possible and accounts separate.
“Google started out as part of Californian graduate student culture around San Francisco’s Bay Area. But as Google grew it encountered the big bad world. It encountered barriers to its expansion in the form of complex political networks and foreign regulations. So it started doing what big bad American companies do, from Coca Cola to Northrop Grumman. It started leaning heavily on the State Department for support, and by doing so it entered into the Washington DC system. A recently released statistic shows that Google now spends even more money than Lockheed Martin on paid lobbyists in Washington.”

less performance cost you say? hmm...how does it compare to chrome? or fire/waterfox? i restore pc's for free as a hobby, and most of the time it's old people with xp machine that let their dipshit kids fuck it up. they usually have about a quarter to 1 gb of ram, so i am i looking for something better than ie. chrome has worked so far, but some in the past have complained that it is no better than ie. apparently telling them that their computer is "just THAT old" isn't the correct answer either

Well I used to use chrome but recently it has been sucking up a lot of ram. Also even when I closed chrome it wouldnt shut off the processes completely (probably to help it start and restore sessions smoothly). But it was still really annoying. Then I read on some forum or something that a large amount of benchmarks were done on the major browsers, and it seems that mozilla is the most stable browser, but it also is almost as flexible as chrome, but without the overhead. Pretty much perfect for my needs. Plus they value privacy. So I switched.
tldr: Chromes heavy and keep running even after closing. Mozilla stable, lighter, and just as good for speedy loading of web pages, even can load more.
