well then.
I would still suggest Intel for final product but, like I said, Im a Intelfag and have a bias against AMD

so what your saying is everything in the build is gonna stay the same its just a matter of you wanting to go AMD or Intel
User avatar #65 - etrian (02/04/2015) [-]
Yeah, the motherboard and CPU aren't decided yet. I put the ones on the list down because I was looking into those one, but they could change when I actually get some money.

ok dude some problems with your eventual PC.

with the wattage necessary you could drop that 130$ 800W PSU and go for something closer to 500W. and if you want LEDs really badly then just buy them seperate, no need to get an overpriced PSU for some lights

you could jump the HDD RPM from 5400 to 7200 with literally no price or storage change

looknig at your build, you really dont need ultimate. home premium will prun your PC just as well

you could boost ram speed from DDR3-1333 to DDR3-1866, only a small difference in speed but its cheaper so clearly better choice

I personally am an intelfag, but I would recomend intel over AMD for more than just personel reasons, the advantages from intel to me at least surpass AMD and considering your price range I would go intel

you probably wont go 3 way-sli so I bumped down to 2 way-sli for motherboard

kept all periphrials same cause thats just personal preference really

and last but not least, went from 750TI to 960 because 960 superior to 750TI (would go for 970, but with all the controversy and what not i just went 960, feel free to upgrade to 970)

wow! look at all that money I just saved you AND got you a better build!

I already have everything other than the motherboard and CPU, the PSU is for if I ever get a job and decide to actually upgrade. Then I at least have a PSU and case.

The HDD is about 3 years old, it was when my first HDD finally died and the only replacement I could find at Bestbuy was that. I got the GPU as a gift, Would have went for a better one but it wasn't my money being spent so I tried to keep it as cheap as possible. And the RAM is still hand-me-down territory.
