If you're too lazy to read all of it, then you're too lazy to start working out. Dedication and motivation are the most important things you need in yourself. Learn gym etiquette. Google it or ask a friend. If you miss a day, don't think you fucked up and can no longer continue. One day missed doesn't mean your whole plan of bettering yourself is ruined. Continue where you left off or just ignore that you missed a day, it's not a big deal. Just don't miss a ton of days or stop. Rest is important too.

you just need to go. Get a friend. that's get motivation. people in the gym look scary but they are willing to help for the most part. Seriously go for a while and you'll suddenly have a weightlifting crew and you guys will go eat chiptole after you finish your lifts
