TL;DR version: ANC promises positive racist bias towards the majority demographic, the minorities can do nothing about it because why would the majority demographic NOT want better conditions?

well thats fucked up.

Well just in case you want to know how to do it

u = sec(2x)
which would give du = 2 sec(2x)tan(2x) dx
so that
sec^3 (2x) tan (2x) dx = (1/2) u^2 du
and then you integrate to get (1/6) u^3 = (1/6) sec^3(2x) + constant

Well, yes, I do know now how to do it, if you read up a few comments back you'll see "Until about 2 weeks ago", which is when I figured out how it works.

you still dont get it

it doesn't matter if you think it 'wont have any effect'

did you volunteer for a campaign? cuz that could have had an effect
did you discuss the election with your friends who were of voting age? cuz that could have had an effect.
did you do anything at all about the election? cuz that could have had an effect

if you didn't participate, then you don't get to complain. i dont see why that's so controversial.

It wouldn't have an effect, because about all the black people The poor ones especially in my country vote for the ANC because the ANC tells them "If another party wins Apartheid will come back! Also, we'll pass laws that forcibly take over 75% of white people's land and give it to black people, and force people to hire more black people etc. etc.", and black people make up about 70% of my country's population. Also, literally all of my friends of voting age voted for a party that is not the ANC. I'm from South Africa, by the way.

I think part of the problem that America's democracy is way to big, as in too many laws depend on the national governments, and with that each individual has far less influence. This means that people's efforts appear completely futile. In smaller democracies this isn't a problem, but citizen participation is undoubtedly harmed by the size of the country. A lot of this could be solved by decentralising power to the states, but that will never happen because US politicians like to think of themselves as grand engineers, and take the credit for anything that goes well

It wouldn't have any noticeable effect. A single person's vote doesn't matter at all. One hundred people's votes don't even matter. If you can get enough people to agree with you and vote for your side then it'll matter, but I doubt discussing politics with his friends is going to make a difference. And anybody that you're complaining about almost definitely doesn't have the funds or time to run a campaign that might have any effect. A single random person can't do shit about their government, no matter how much they want to. The only way to really make a difference is to become a member of the government, and I doubt very much that everybody that wants change is going to do that.
