My mistake, here in the US it's not illegal to say something like that. There was another post of someone saying something like "someone kill x person" which is not illegal. In order to limit speech like that you would need to provide intent, likelihood and imminence.

No, you need to prove intent, imminence and likelihood. You need to prove all those 3.

We're probably from different jurisdictions, hence the extent of free speech and how it would be restricted in certain situations, differ. I assume you're from the US and it might be so there - I don't know (I'm aware I said 'probably also the US').

#45 pretty much said it regarding free speech in European countries. Obviously, it's more technical than just that, but it does prove my initial point

Of course free speech gives you the right to endorse terrorism. It might mean that you go on 1,000,000 watchlists but you can say it. What you can't say is stuff encouraging terrorism. But endorsing is fine from a legal perspective anyway
#63 - rprol (03/24/2016) [-]
It's the difference between saying "terrorism is good" legal vs "you should go do terrorism" not legal

You can say the same about 15th century Christians.

I live in a city with a sizeable Muslim American population, most of them are decent enough people and the statistics on Rape, Violence and any of the stuff Europe is dealing with aren't present here among the Muslim immigrant population. Many of these people also embrace the local culture rather than refuse to assimilate in any form.

So yes, they can fit in.

I've seen plenty muslims, usually over 30, who say "man, basically, i'm a muslim. But i'd burn the Qu'ran if it kept me from doing my job and earning my food"

But he still was fasting while also working, but he didn't pray unless it coincided with his break-time.

I personally like those fellas, they also usually eat bacon if its the only meat, because, and i quote "the fuck do i look like, some kinda faggot vegan?"

Exactly moderate Muslims ARE real... they are just very few and far between and most are 3rd if not 4th generation nationals.

Man, everyone on here seems to have had terrible experience with muslims. I live in Ontario and a few of my closest friends are muslims, we've had some pretty interesting conversations about religion and philosophy over a couple joints. When I see this shit I definitely don't disagree, but I can't bring myself to condemn them all the way a lot of people on this site do. I've had too many good experiences.
