Driving is fun. I like driving a car. If you can't afford to drive, safely, don't do it. That means a properly maintained, street-legal vehicle. That means insurance in case you have an accident. If you drive when you can't afford it, and screw up your life, don't ask me for help fixing it.

Same deal with sex.

Sex is fun. I like having sex. If you can't afford to have sex, safely, don't do it. If that means you can't afford birth control, so you can't have sex; that's your problem not mine. Lots of places give out free birth control, but whatever, it's on you. If DECIDE to have sex, without proper precautions, and you screw up, don't ask other people to pay for your mistake.

There are lots and lots of sexual activities that aren't sex (or at least aren't the kind of sex that can get you pregnant). Do those; they're awesome.

At the end of the day, if you are old enough to have sex, you are old enough to deal with the consequences. If you can't afford a child, don't have a child. If you can't afford to have safe sex, don't have sex. This is such a simple concept. If you can't afford X don't do X. Find something else you enjoy.

For the record, I'm not prudish at all. I'm also not anti-abortion, but again, don't ask me to pay for it. If you can't afford an abortion, don't have sex. Simple.

Nice man thats a long time, I just celebrated my 2nd year anniversary with my wife, but yeah she's on the pill as well so we don't do anything extra either. I'm just saying if she's NOT on the pill, you should probably take some sort of precaution.

You absolutely would run out to a store to get a pack of rubbers. If you think you wouldn't, maybe you shouldn't be drinking. Everybody in their right mind should take precautions over having sex, every time.

This month I'll be celebrating my 6 year anniversary with the same girl. Maybe in the first couple of years I always made sure to do things as safely as could be, but at this point we both don't really care that much anymore. If we're feeling frisky, we're gonna get it on. Tons of things you can still do without rubbers or the pill to be somewhat safe, but stopping the mood because you need to go to the store is just stupid.
And don't tell me not to be drinking, either. Drinking is almost as fun as doing the thing.

Look, long story short, just don't be so uptight over sex. Be smart about it, don't bareback strangers, talk about it with your partner, know what to do when something goes wrong. There's no need to go all OCD with it. Just have fun.

You can't abort HIV.
Irresponsible sex is a bad thing and access to abortion promotes it.

At least we're the best in football. I know we're pretty much the only ones that play it, but at least it's something, right?

Japan and Canada don't always get annihilated by us, at least.

The issue with international American football is that it requires A LOT more than what any other major sport does. Not only does it require a lot of equipment, but it also requires more specialized coaching. These things are easy by which to come in a culture so heavily enthused with it.

This has made the growth of the sport abroad rather slow. However, it is indeed gaining popularity around the world. Maybe someday there will be meaningful international play, not just a US-dominated IFAF.

I was running out of characters, so I'll keep it short.
Recently, there's been some studies indicating that some GMOs are causing cancer in mice. Other say they don't. Some prestigious universities have said that Monsanto is blocking research. Judges agreed and fined them. Most research papers you can find, are bad research. Good research is expensive, and needs funding.
It's sort of like when the British Cheese Association funded and published a study saying that eating a lot of cheese before bed gives you good dreams, not bad.

But don't be too afraid of cancer. People used to smoke cigarettes with asbestos filters. Every step forward asks for a little cancer causing. That's the stuff that gets fixed later on.

All in all, GMOs are a great thing to have access to. Most protest against it comes from hippies and biblemunchers, saying it's evil and unnatural. Just ignore that whole crows. But right now, the state GMOs are in is, well, it's bad. They're very profitable, but not researched nearly enough and some implementations go directly against the original goals of the project. But then again, that's just how neoliberalism and capitalism work. The invisible hand of the market might come in and fix things. Who knows? Or the world might turn to a large government, more towards socialism, and that government might step in and fix things. Who knows?
Point is, things need fixing. GMOs will become more important every year, but they are not quite ready yet.

The thing is, and I've told many people the same thing, you can absolutely be pro-GMO and push for regulation and research at the same time. Most protest seeks to ban GMOs. That's just downright stupid, science should never take a step back. But some science needs to stay in the lab for a very long time, before it starts being something useable. We might need to get some GMOs back in the lab, and work from there.

GMOs are a fantastic idea but a questionable (at best) practice right now.
