its probably more the fact that hes not a "Hero".

hes an Antihero.

He's been more heroic than anti-heroic At least, before he fucking died. in recent history
.
Mahvel changed his character a bit to, for some reason, make him a little more family-friendly.

Which is entirely against the fucking point of Deadpool.

The only reason you prefer imperial is habit.
User avatar #53 - bendingtimeisgood (06/30/2015) [-]
I'm American, and I don't know why Americans prefer imperial, other than just being set in our ways.
User avatar #71 - AnomynousUser (06/30/2015) [-]
Because it does make sense. After spending our whole lives with measurements, we can easily visualize it. We know about how long an inch is usually about the length of the last digit on your thumb, a foot is easily visualized if you've ever seen a ruler, a yard is just 3 of those, and if you've run a mile, you know how long that is. 0 degrees is fucking cold and 100 degrees is damn hot, with 32 being the freezing point of water (which you just have to remember). In every day life, it's just as accurate or more and just as easily understandable as the metric system to anyone who can do basic math or visualization.

We prefer it because growing up with anything makes it easier to understand and switching over takes time and money that isn't really that justified.
User avatar #129 - thesoulseeker (07/01/2015) [-]
So you prefer it because you're just set in your ways. Except you said that in several lines of text.
User avatar #135 - AnomynousUser (07/01/2015) [-]
I prefer it because it makes just as much sense as metric and don't feel it'd be worth changing everything. So partially, yes.
User avatar #136 - thesoulseeker (07/01/2015) [-]
The only reason you've stated that you prefer imperial is that you are used to it, so it's not partially it's fully. Metric is slightly simpler to learn and use though, since for example 1 foot is 12 inches as opposed to 1 meter being 10 decimeters.
User avatar #138 - AnomynousUser (07/01/2015) [-]
It's also because it makes just as much sense while being more arguably more useful in some areas. So you saying it's because "we're set in our ways" is part of the reason. It can be argued that 12's make more sense than 10's. www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6xJfP7-HCc
User avatar #158 - thesoulseeker (07/01/2015) [-]
It's arguably more useful in other areas and it makes just as much sense I can also argue that, but I'd rather not . Those aren't reasons for preferring it those are things that keep it relatively equal with metric.
As I said the only reason you've presented is that you are used to it.

Finally, even if I accepted that a base 12 number system is better than a base 10 which I don't, I don't see much of a difference either way, I'm just used to 10 that wouldn't help imperial since it isn't based on a number system like metric.
#189 - John Cena (07/01/2015) [-]
I can't speak for everyone but think about it, all the proffessors, students, scientists, mathematicians etc etc in america that use the imperial system, and how long it'd take to change all of it to metric
User avatar #191 - thesoulseeker (07/01/2015) [-]
I'm not saying that the US should switch to metric, don't put words in my mouth.
There are quite a few reasons why that's practically impossible.
What I am saying though is that the only reason AnomynousUser prefers the imperial system is that he/she is used to it.

And really the only reason I see to switch to metric is because it's the system used in science and it's also the system used almost everywhere else. That reason doesn't really justify a switch though. Plus the only practical way for the US to switch to metric would be by gradually starting to use more and more metric over quite a few decades.

Maltesers have a softer core, like a honeycomb, very light and melt in your mouth. Whoppers are pretty much rock solid, like chewing on a brick, they taste alright but they are a bit tough to chew on. My preference goes to Maltesers.

As for chocolate quality, Maltesers has Whoppers beat, no contest.

a fabulous gem (45k) is worth somewhat similar to the velaSIRaptor (50k), so depending on how many you want, a 1 for 1 sounds decent enough. perhaps some pony poop with it to make it evened out. and like early, you can always try to make an offer.

hey man...honestly when it comes to comics, real life is the best influence. so much ridiculous **** happens, and if you just stop and think about everything that happened in your life, you'll find some pretty funny comics.
