Haha, don't worry about it, school has been picking up for me so i've mainly been working on story and design notes. There's no hurry either so don't rush it.

Courage and Hope are two different things.

Having a purpose is reason for Courage, but Dark Souls has no purpose, you literally just wander around, until you discover a way to move forward, Link, knowing there's no Ganon, no Zelda to rescue, hell, not even ANYONE from Hyrule in danger there, would no doubt sit on doubt loose heart instantly and just desperately try and find a way back home, hollowing within a few days.

what no, there is the prophecy. The prophecy gives you purpose. And then there is random people telling you who they think is evil and are asking for help.

Link definitely wouldn't get crestfallen, how far he gets against the brutal world is up for argument though, but I am pretty sure that the stronger versions of Link would breeze through most areas. The "chosen undead" is afterall not that special and Link has some retardedly strong tools like the Power Gauntlets that let him lift giant bolders, stuff like bombs/arrows light/frost/fire /boomerangs in combination with the hookshot to stay away and kite enemies, and a whole other bunch of magical trinkets like the Masks in Majora, the magic armor from Twilight princess or the magical barrier from Windwaker. Stuff like the birdiething from Skyward Sword and the Dekuleaf would also let him skip huge areas if he doesn't feel like battling millions of enemies. Also his sword is actually blessed by the gods so should count as divine and is perfect for the catacombs

Dark souls has plenty of purpose. Every character you meet has their own purpose and you decide your own because you're a blank slate character. If it had no purpose all you'd do is sit around firelink the entire time like the crestfallen warrior. If you even make it to the first boss you can't reasonably argue you don't have purpose in it

And Majora's Mask?

No Link would see something is wrong and try to find the cause of it in the assumption that it is the reason he isn't home.

With courage you would not fall into despair.

Majoras mask started out WITH a purpose, I can't remember what it was, Link was searching for "A close and personal friend" Navi the fairy, during which he got cursed by skull kid, turned into a Deku scrub, had to stop the moon, ect, ect, in the end, He never even found Navi, the whole premis of Majoras Mask is to STOP the moon from falling so he can continue his search.

But let's assume Link is indeed kidnapped from Hyrule somewhere during the Adult age of Ocarina of time, he has all the items you can collect before you fight Ganondorf in the final battle, but he appears there without Navi, ending up at Firelink shrine, his first instinct would be to look around, try and understand where he is, he would not doubt dispatch the undead in the area with skill as he's fought Stalfos, Re-dead, Moblins and Dinofos, pretty hard enemies in Ocarina of Time

Now, most people would argue that without Navi to aid in Z-targeting link would be pretty harmless, but assuming -all- the controls are as similar in Dark Souls as they were in OoT, link would have no problems as he can do everything he could in OoT as he can in Dark Souls.

The main issue is, is he branded by the Dark Sign or not? If he is, no doubt he would come back every-time he died, and if not, dead is dead, perhaps if he had 1-2 feries with him he could try again, but if he's not branded with the dark sign, every bit of damage is going to count, and sooner or later he will die, realizing he has limited choices is going to make him fight smarter and perhaps even seek to rest, because he is not undead, hunger, fatigue and a need for sleep is also going to chip away at his determination.

And like I said, courage is not the same as determination or having a purpose.

Personally, I don't think that the Triforce of Courage is going to keep link Sane and or alive for a long period of time in Darksouls.

Having no clear objective wouldn't make Link go "well that's it then" and give up, and while courage and hope are different things they're not exactly mutually exclusive. Dark Souls is filled with people to guide the Chosen Undead along, and no doubt they'd do the same for Link.

Even assuming Link didn't have the Darksign, he's not as easy to 'kill' as the Chosen Undead. His sword is an extremely powerful blessed weapon with which he can attack much faster than more or less anything you'd see in Dark Souls, he's a natural problem solver so tactics aren't an issue, and what he might lack in endurance he makes up for in versatility.

Every Souls game has safe areas and forests where he could feasibly gather supplies so food/sleep are still possible, and frankly with the Triforce of courage I genuinely don't know if anything can chip away his determination. He's more or less got everything he needs to get through Dark Souls, assuming like you said we take him as an adult.

Of course he'll still die, but that's more or less how the game ends anyway - this is all assuming that his objective is finishing the quest

Link from Windwaker had one goal, save his sister. After he did that he continued to help for the sake of the world and the princess but his primary goal was done.

ALTTP, his only family member died. He pressed on because someone had to be saved, after saving that person he pressed on because there was a chance he could stop it.

You bring up the ability to stay alive but that is not what was being discussed, it was whether he would lose heart, and the answer is no, because there are plenty of things to fix and save in the worlds of the Souls games.

Hell even the weak Link from the underworld in A link between world went looking for a solution despite the fact he knew he couldn't fight for shit.

You missed out that you respawn in zelda, which can only mean one of two things.

1. Link is incredibly skilled, and given how agile he is and how his sword is magic, he'd do just fine in dark souls

2. He's used to respawning, again, he'd do fine.
