Yeah I've thought about playing Smite as a lot of people say it's good, but I'm having enough fun with the games I have I don't need something else to have to get good at. But if I get bored of League and need a new MOBA then Smite's my first choice.

I think it's a really good game all around. There aren't too many items, so it's simplistic, and that's good and bad in its own way. Some gods just aren't viable anymore though, so that kinda pisses me off, but all in all, I think it's an 8.5/10

I've played DoTA 2 a bit and I'm thinking of trying smite. But I had a few problems with DoTA 2. I liked some of the ideas of the gameplay, and didn't like some others, but my main problem was with the user interface. People say DoTA 2 is good because it's much harder than League. While the gameplay itself is more riskier in many ways (increased snowballing, lose gold on death, no recall), I hated the user interface. Not being able to lock your camera is just stupid in my opinion because it's hard in a way that's just frustrating if you don't get it right, rather than hard in a way that feels rewarding if you do get it right.

But I digress, Mobas can be frustrating as fuck due to the nature of the game. In League there's a massive time commitment to each game, and so having a stupid teammate is infuriating because people think their time has been wasted (although even in losses I appreciate having a slightly better understanding of what to do next game). I derive my sense of accomplishment in being able to have a tangible way of seeing your skill increase, as I started at Bronze V (very bottom placement in competitive play) and have worked my way up to Silver II (I think Silver II is higher than more than half of league players) over the course of a year. I've learned to take the game more lightly and just have fun, learn something each game, and apply it to your future games to be able to slowly grind yourself up the ladder like I've been doing. Do something unexpected, because people don't know how to react, and if you pull it off you can feel good knowing that you have good ideas.

And that's why I enjoy it, even if I don't have the much fun the sense of accomplishment I get is very high compared to other games.

I absolutely hated how DOTA 2's teleport system was set up. You have to buy a teleport? Are you kidding me? Maybe I just have juvenile Alzheimer's, but I always forgot about them and had to walk back to base. I play a shit ton of smite, and there's so many different ways that you can play most gods, that it doesn't really get old. And Smite releases a new god just about every month or so, so that keeps it interesting for me.

Well I do 'troll' builds more or less every game, and I like the feeling of accomplishment that I said more than fun anyways. My favorite champion build right now is (don't know if you play League or not so I might be saying gibberish to you) Thresh top building AS with some HP (Wit's, BoTRK, Beserkers, Hurricane, Mogs, Frozen Mallet) and annihilating everybody because they come after me and don't realize my potential thinking that I'm either trolling or just bad.

I don't play LoL, but I play MOBAs, so I understand the gist of what you're saying. I enjoy trying to break the meta, I guess. But it's always fun to go back to normal and play like a regular human player. If you get into a new MOBA, there's always the chance that you'll like it more than LoL. So I'd give Smite, DOTA 2, Strife, etc. a try.

>MOBA
>Fun

The only way I ever have fun in LoL is by picking the most troll champions in building them in a non meta but still viable to some extent way and people getting curb stomped by underestimating the power. Doing anything else is either frustrating because of either doing poorly or just having bad teammates, or simply fufilling but not fun if you're doing well.
