Actually it is, so much that they are offering incentives to people who have children. Their birth rate is 8 per 1000 ranked 221 and their population growth is -0.13 ranked 203. In comparison the US is 13.42 per 1000 ranked 150 and population growth is 0.77 and ranked 142. Most other developed nations are between 10 and 15 births per 1000 and .50 and 1.5 for growth.

They seem like they have a problem because they do. Life expectantcy is going up and birth rates are going down and are below replacements rates.

Sorry, I should have phrased it better, Japan does in fact have a population problem, but not in the case of birth rates. Other very well developed countries like Germany and South Korea have similar fertility rates to Japan (Germany having a 1.4 births per woman and South Korea having 1.2 births per woman compared to Japan's 1.4) but still have a net positive population growth.

It's better to get them help. Don't get the guy a fake fucktoy, get him a therapist.

Of course I agree with you. Getting help is always better, but it's not like getting a fucktoy and getting a therapist are mutually exclusive. There's nothing wrong with allowing comfort and going through therapy at the same time. Most likely, the type of person who would have deep rooted isolation problems wouldn't seek help anyways.

I see your point, but even if it doesn't fix them, is it really that wrong for an isolated depressed individual to find comfort rather than be left with miserable loneliness? I mean there's no evidence to suggest that VR porn makes these situations worse. Like you said, these kinds of people are already too deep in to do anything productive, so how would VR Porn make things worse?
