At any given moment if you look at it there are more bead being pulled down by the force of gravity then there are beads going upwards. The beads are so light that the speed that he first pulled on it + the force of gravity is enough to cause this plus the strand is rigid enough to stay in that stable arc instead of just flopping all over the place.

im not science explain but ill do my best, If i remember right those beads are essencialy attached to eachother by small peices of metal wire, as a result they wont completely bend over giving the whole string some level of rigidity, once there is a sufficient ammount of mass outside the cup it will continue trying to pull more beads out of the cup (imagine that as a coil of rope with a large weight on the end outside the cup) since it is slightly rigid the chain of beads cant straight fold over the lip but instead jumps to form a sustainable curve.

I mean, it's strange because at the end of the day the force used to take the initial bit wouldn't be enough to take the whole thing out of the beaker, would it?
You'd have to take the first bit of chain out with enough force to take the whole set of chains out at once as if they were a comppact solid, not bits of it...
I knkw what I ask sounds confusing but if you could take out the whole beaker out with that tiny pull, couldn't some sort of energy generator be created using something like this taking advantage of the kinetic energy and Work produced with this process?

Not sure how helpful I am, but I'm just gonna put it out there - energy can never be created or destroyed. The same energy that is today is the same that it's always been, and the term "generate" is misleading. It's more of a transformation, converting one type of energy (usually kinetic) to another we consider more useful (electric).
When something looks like it would take "way more energy if we were to do it manually", it's because less energy has been focused on the direct process. Such as, say, opening a jar. It takes a lot more muscle power (chemical energy) to open it with your bare hands, but it takes a great deal less with a jar opener, simply because the jar opener focuses your energy output better.

The force of gravity pulling the beads down is more than the energy it takes to lift the next section of beads, so it keeps moving. Basically the beads have more potential energy at the cup than at the floor and the entire strand wants to be at a lower energy level.
