#29 - so how does one go about to make a muscle mage?  [+] (1 reply) 05/09/2016 on So You Want to Be a God +1

Depending on the level of broken you want to reach, there is: (These are all 3.x)

1) The most broken: Take Goliath as your race, start leveling monk and wizard until you reach Monk-5/Wizard-15, take the feats Improved Natural Attack, Improved Two Weapon Fighting, Double Hit, Deft Opportunist, Extend Spell, Combat Reflexes, and a few more as you like. Wearing spiked brass knuckles if your DM counts it as a monk weapon helps as well. With Flurry of Blows, you'll make 7 attacks per round and if you cast Haste you get another standard action, things like Enlarge Person or Bull's Strength just add to the ridiculousness.

2) The more "normal" way: Just have high physical stats and intelligence, focus on self-buffs like Blur, True Strike, Displacement, Greater Invisibility, Haste, Stoneskin, True Seeing, Fly, Enlarge Person, Bull's Strength, and so on.

Mix and match the two for giggles and shit. For Pathfinder, take approach two with a wizard that is specialized in Transmutation so they get a bonus to physical stat of their choice, go with the self-buffs. There's also alchemists and mutagens or there's a magus archetype that uses their fist instead of a sword (magus and monk mixed, basically.)
