But it is.
You are talking about abbreviations for æ ø and å, in this case we focuse on the "æ" as in ae, and thereby leading you to the "bae" where you mean it's "bæ".
Still it's all wrong.
Whoever wrote that dictionary thing it's trolls most of the time, but this one is just stupid is clearly not very smart. Why even compare bae with bæ? The words are so different, and the only reason Danes would abbreviate their æ ø and å, is if they are using a keyboard without those letters...

It's just stupid and not very intelligent done, even to be funny.

It doesn't matter how you write. It's about pronunciation.
Bae coming from the term "Before Anyone Else" as somebody said is English.
And even if you think that it comes from the words "baby" or "babe" then both of those words too, are still English, and have nothing to do with danish writing.
It's an English term no matter what. And even if you try to pronounce it, it's still wrong.
Same goes for writing it.

TLDR: It has nothing to do with danish pronunciation, or writing.

I get that it is an english word, and that it does not originate from the danish bæ, i was just pointing out that the reason you gave for the post to be incorrect was not the real reason.
