#44 - so do pokemon stay mega evolved? or do you have to change them…  [+] (15 new replies) 08/03/2016 on freaky games 0

Mega evolution lasts for the duration of the current battle, the Pokemon goes back to normal afterwards. They do not get new moves in the mega state, they just get stat increases and some get a type change.

....bloody hell, if I wanted to play Digimon I would have played Digimon
#49 - psychoknot (08/03/2016) [-]
Lol does Digimon have a feature like that too? I've never even heard anyone talk about a Digimon video game

There has been a few Digimon games what I know, never played them though, was more refering to the way they evolved and then always devolved after the fight in the old series and such
#51 - psychoknot (08/03/2016) [-]
Ah I see. I thought it was weird at first too, but the mega evolutions actually fit very well into the Pokemon battle metagame

Perhaps, dont think I'd like it though, when I got something badass, I wanna keep it
#56 - psychoknot (08/03/2016) [-]
Well that's just the thing, you do get to keep it. Mega evolving costs nothing (although you can only do it with a single Pokemon per battle), and you can use it every single time if you want. Plus you get to attack on the same turn that you use the mega evolution, and even if your opponent has higher speed the evolution will take place first.

That sounds more annoying, would be better if it was some kind of item you could only have one of and as long as one Pok'emon was holding it, it was mega evolved.
#58 - psychoknot (08/03/2016) [-]
It is an item - there is a mega stone for each Pokemon that can mega evolve. All you have to do is give the Pokemon the stone, and then when you use it in battle you have the option of tapping the button to mega evolve before attacking. But it's nice to also have the option of not doing that, in case you don't want the type change or the different ability because of what you're battling.

Pokemon has always been about planning on before hand though, giving you more choices like that sounds like straying from that part, but I might just be to old, latest I played properly was Emerald
#61 - psychoknot (08/03/2016) [-]
Emerald was the absolute best

It truly was, that and Gold are my all time favorites with yellow in a special place as the first pokemon game I ever played, having that Pikachu walk behind you was the envy of everyone with blue or red
Wishing for a strong proper grass starter though, feel they always been given the shortest straw.

no, excited isn't an emotional feeling. it's a physical feeling. you feel excited when you see your girlfriend as in you feel butterflies in your stomach, accelerated heartbeat, dilated pupils etc. or you got excited or worked up while arguing with someone which usually has similar symptoms, minus the butterflies
#55 - psychoknot (08/03/2016) [-]
Being excited is most certainly an emotional feeling
User avatar
#56 - Silver Quantum (08/03/2016) [-]
happiness is an emotional feeling. excited is a physical feeling attributed to the feeling of happiness
#57 - psychoknot (08/03/2016) [-]
I can tell you I have been very excited about things without any particular physical sensations attached to it. If you actually look up the word excited you will find such definitions as "stirred emotionally" or "to arouse or stir up the emotions or feelings of"
