I don't get morals from myself, myself estimates morals but it comes from a simple value equation derived from observation of consciousness. That's the fundamental part that christians have wrong, they base it off of "god" but since there is no god really what they're basing it off is instinct. Yes some religious people may have an intuitive sense of morality but they will ALWAYS have a flawed moral philosophy.
User avatar #244 - danyoung (11/07/2013) [-]
Haha, this is weird. You mentioned the philsophy, wath is so subjective as the question "is the glass half full or half empty?" And i think you moral is wrong, my moral says "If you don't hurt anybody, and you like it, do it. Don't worry, have exceptions"
My point is this: If they have morals from a book (Doesn't care if is Harry Potter, a comic or the bible) it's respectable, always they respect us. So, don't complain, just enjoy.
User avatar #250 - Kaiserlome (11/07/2013) [-]
I think morals are completely objective. It's not a glass half full half empty situation. We know that living things experience consciousness and this consciousness can be either in an in-and-of-itself negative or positive state (self-evident) and these states have proportional magnitudes (self-evident) therefore can be compared and summed. A system with a negative sum would be objectively bad and a system with a positive sum would be objectively good.
User avatar #255 - danyoung (11/07/2013) [-]
Bingo, you hit the nail. You think one position is right, i thing another position is right too, we are not right or wrong, we have a brain, a mind, and i like to say "Every head is a different world" so, everybody are gonna believe different things. And, like we say in FJ, Deal with it.
User avatar #257 - Kaiserlome (11/07/2013) [-]
But one of those positions is definitely right regardless of whether anyone sees it or not.
User avatar #261 - danyoung (11/07/2013) [-]
So, if your position is right, why you no start a new religion?
User avatar #263 - Kaiserlome (11/07/2013) [-]
Why don't I start a new dogma based around supernatural beings? Because I don't believe in supernatural beings.
User avatar #265 - danyoung (11/07/2013) [-]
I don't mention the supernatural being, you did, you can put everything you want, it's your religion. I say, start a new religion with your own philosophy.
User avatar #269 - Kaiserlome (11/07/2013) [-]
It wouldn't be a religion though, it'd be a philosophy. A VERY loosely dogmatic philosophy granted but far from a religion.
User avatar #274 - danyoung (11/07/2013) [-]
Definition of religion:" a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects" thanks dictionary.com
You have all of this...i can't see why you no start your own religion...

I don't think anyone can know whats right and wrong if they're christian. Because they think morals come from god and that's fundamentally wrong. They just sort of go on feeling and that's how people cherry pick morals from the bible
User avatar #231 - danyoung (11/07/2013) [-]
I have my morals from myself, you have another source, a lot of people have morals from the bible, but that is no reason for have stereotypes with all christian's or catholics. I'm atheist, as i already say, and that doesn't makes me a satanic kitty killer.

A cult that doesn't pay taxes and was responsible for mass child-rape very recently?

Oh, shit. Yes, the head of a cult that doesn't pay taxes. Sure, a lot of priest rape kids and that's wrong, but Francis knows that. The point of xxcryomarsxx is "He know what is right and wath is wrong and he is doing his job so fucking good"
