It's the end of days. The sign off message, last thing humanity sees, should have a deeper meaning. Not only what the music means, but its cultural connection to humanity. REM doesn't cut it. The doors signifies an era. Creedence clearwater has a connection to the same era, Bad moon rising is their greatest hit, but their songs are also a story about america.

The BBC article says, many people suggested "Dont stop me now" by Queen as a sign off message for BBC.
"That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm trav'ling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you"

That song is about bisexual sex. Think wisely before choosing a song that just "sounds good," like REM

that's a double entendre, the kids will interpret it as small height, the parents will interpret it as small dick.

its only one example of the genius writing behind shrek. they knew how to keep the kids AND their parents entertained at the same time in the theater.

His name is essentially "Lord Fuckwad" for Christ's sake. How are you denying that there is adult humour in this movie?

Shrek is ingeniously parent-friendly and entertaining. Most kids don't laugh at this part, smarter kids think it's about his height, and parents, though they know Farquaad is short already, know what Shrek's thinkin'. Dreamworks gets some good shit made when they aren't pumping out sequels.

No, but a common inference about size compensation in our culture is that which concerns little baby dicks, far more often than little baby people.

The only problem with that was of course that Shrek and Donkey hadn't seen or heard of him before, and thus couldn't have known about his height
