But you make a good point there. Mainly the point that it's an animalistic instinct to ridicule and exclude those who appear different from the pack, no matter what their actual contribution to the pack may be. I'm just saying, let's not just fucking pressure people into wearing the same outfits, walking the same way, saying the same things and in the same way. The world will be a lot more interesting that way.

I'm 100% for unique expression, but within reason.

Yeah let's all stop and stare at them. Let's laugh out loud and throw food at them or put them in zoos, because they're not subject to decency.
Bit of a slip 'n' slide argument, but can you see my point? What purpose does it serve to purposely single people out who look different? Is it so much better to try your best to fit in perfectly?

It doesn't necessarily serve a purpose. It's just how humanity works.

In every other species in the animal kingdom, a creature who sticks out and acts out of the social norms is cast from the society and usually left to starve or adapt on their own. Should we do that instead? Just ship all the odd people to some desolate island colony to try to survive on their own there?

I personally feel better by just giving an odd or inquisitive look to them. Let's not make this something it's not.

Nope, we're talking about common decency. Don't point or glare at random strangers on the street, that's rude as shit.
User avatar #21 - damianblu (17 hours ago) [-]
Not saying you're ugly or weird looking of course. Just wanted to specify that.
#20 - damianblu (17 hours ago) [-]
You may be, but my initial thread was "When people wear weird shit and go out in public" not "I hate when people are ugly or weird looking."

Pointing and glaring at random people on the street who dress like this, is perfectly acceptable in my opinion. And not just because it's a man dressing in female clothes.
In all reality if a woman his age walked outside wearing that, she'd probably get similar looks as well.
