I like Zotac, got a GTS 450 that has lasted me through hell and back since 2011 and only issue is heat, but it's just the Fermi.
Looking at Zotac for my next card upgrade when i finally get the money.

Well, I want to be able to max out fallout 4, but I figured the FX 6300 isn't that great for doing so.

If you're going to upgrade the CPU for a game that's not released yet, just wait till it's out and you've tried it. Especially since both the FX-6300 and 8350 are pretty old, and weak in single threaded performance which almost every game relies heavily on, rather than just the number of cores.

But yeah, seems like a good cooler. Looks similar to the G1 Gaming version from Gigabyte, which I happen to have aswell, crammed in a mini ITX case with very restricted airflow but it still holds 60-68C under full load. And well, the fact that it's a 970 speaks for itself. Best bang for buck card out there, and even with that 3.5GB issue it's still a solid card.

well the FX 8350 and the 6300 are the same architecture so I dont think adding 2 more cores would really help. It may use 4 cores at most unless it comes with directx 12.

it's probably that one of them died, that's why it was still able to boot and such

Actually it was my Power supply dying. In the BIOS on the +12v rail it said 12.3 or somewhere near that and the RAM and CPU voltage were at the exact number for their limit (so 1.5 exact on RAM) Switched out PSU's and everything is fine. All 4 sticks of RAM still work
