Why would he write "work related deaths" instead of life expectancy?

Life Expectancy is commonly referred to death by natural causes, like heart diseases, organs failure and such.

Work related deaths is more about accidents and conditions that were generated in the work place, like the black lung for coal miners or strokes for boxing fighters.

but it is, at least partly. Maybe it's not so obvious nowadays, but think 6000 years ago
>woman stays at home (well, cave) being pregnant and taking care of offspring
>men go hunting and potentially get eaten by wolves or some shit

Gee, I wonder why men have shorter lives on average. It still applies today, obviously to a lesser extent. Just look at work-related deaths for both sexes. Also look at the number of foundations for male and female specific diseases.

by the way, the phrase "women and children first" tells you anything?

Fucking idiot.

It's almost exclusively because women produce more white blood cells than men.

Well getting jobs with high death chances is mostly taken by men, for example logging, steel or construction workers, jobs passed on muscle strength basically. Which is not society's fault, it's just a men's task that's all, but it CAN'T be considered a privilege, which is why he points it out.

Yeah, speaking as a guy who used to work fabrication, shit can get out of hand fast there, especially when the job beats so many people down that they just don't care anymore. there was one place i left after three days mostly because the jokers working there were going to get me fucking killed.
