Well, thank you for that. That will make it so I can sleep tonight, but that was still one of the saddest deaths I've ever seen and one of the only deaths that actually made me cry.

He's getting closer and closer to one of the worst anime original endings ever created.
User avatar #876573 - yeorgh (02/07/2014) [-]
I haven't seen it, how bad is it?
User avatar #876577 - MillionsKnives (02/07/2014) [-]
It's been a long time since I've seen it myself, I just remember decently enjoying the first half of the series, then watching it go downhill throughout the second half, then it becoming absolute total shit. The final battle they decided to use CG on the final monster instead of the regular animation they were using the rest of the show. I'd have to watch it again to give a more in depth description of just how bad it was, but it left the absolute worst impression on me, and that was when I liked "cool" fight scenes and such.
User avatar #876580 - yeorgh (02/07/2014) [-]
Well the manga didn't exactly turn out so well either, at one point it introduced vampires that got killed by an overpowered flashlight and then they just completely disappeared from the story for no reason, then giant aliens, the ball was a human dude all along, it all came from the future and humans were the bad guys all along , and other weird shit like that, i mean it's enjoyable if you can look past all and just focus on the fights/gore but the writing is fucking awful.
#876585 - senjougahara (02/07/2014) [-]
God the ending was awful. You could totally tell the guy wanted it to end badly.
User avatar #876589 - yeorgh (02/07/2014) [-]
I'm guessing he was just out of ideas, i mean for a while now it was just a bunch of random shit put together without any proper explanation, he just went for the neutral ending.
User avatar #876582 - MillionsKnives (02/07/2014) [-]
I honestly feel like we've had this conversation before. I guess it may have been with someone else, but I don't think so. Deja vu and all that.

Yeah, they stopped the anime before they got that deep into shit. Still, it really ended up disappointing me and left a bad taste of the entire series because of it (mainly because I'm pretty sure this is the first series that I watched that I actually had to go and figure out what an anime original ending was why it needed to be done, just because it was so damn bad. Keep in mind that this was probably when I was 15 or so).
User avatar #876583 - yeorgh (02/07/2014) [-]
Probably when the manga ended but i don't really remember.

I can't even imagine that type of CG if the CG they're using now is shit, good thing i never bothered with the anime.
User avatar #876587 - MillionsKnives (02/07/2014) [-]
Probably.

I really wish I could find it on youtube.

So.... your computer is going to be one of these 4 www.dell.com/au/business/p/optiplex-780/pd

If it's one of the larger 3 then yeah it can be upgraded.

You might need to get a low profile graphics card to fit in (usually a pretty crappy videocard by today's standards)

It will have to be PCI-Express, IF you can upgrade...

This is a really hard guessing game you're giving us, because you don't seem to be doing much research yourself.

1. click the link, and go to "tech specs"
2 .work out which of the 4 sizes of computer you have, desktop, Mini tower small form factor or ultra small form factor
3.Under tech specs it tells you what cards can physically fit, most require low profile cards

If all else fails, Just take it to a computer store tell them what you want to do and they'll evaluate it , do it and charge you.

Just something else to keep in mind.. I wouldn't bother spending too much on this PC. as an analogy, it's like taking a compact car and trying to turn it into a drag racer, it's an uphill battle because you're starting from a bad base (the chassis and mobo)

Great! Thanks a lot. Sorry for putting you through so much trouble. I figured I wouldn't get too far with this pc, but I'm not interested in playing "today's graphics" games, I just want to be able to play shit like L4D2 without my pc crashing. Really man, thanks a ton.

First, we don't care if it's dell, asus, acer, or whatever. It's a computer and therefore follows all the same rules as other computers.

That chipset is an integrated graphics controller built into the motherboard. Having it has almost no correlation as to what you can upgrade to... it just exists on the motherboard and becomes redundant if you install a discrete graphics card

to upgrade your gaming capability, you don't want to buy a new motherboard, you want to put a discrete graphics card in to take over the video processing since the integrated video chipset is pathetic in comparison. An integrated graphics card (such as your's) is a method of producing graphics via the CPU's computing power, which is incredibly inefficient for graphics processing.

we need to know if it's a laptop or desktop. if it's a lappy, probably no upgrades apart from ram or HDD

If it's a desktop, we need to know if the motherboard has PCI-E slot, or if it's an ultra small form factor that can't have cards installed into it. I looked up the model of chipset, and I know it has to use PCI-E, but that doesn't mean your mobo actually has a slot for it.

Tl;dr yes, you probably can upgrade. but we can't say for sure unless we know more about your computer's model. give me the model (or even better just link me to it) and I can tell you. Or if you don't know, run CPUz and give me a screenshot of your motherboard tab (such as my screenshot)

Ok, sorry if I sounded irritated before, I'm new to pc gaming and this was really pissing me off. This is a desktop, specifically an Optiplex 780 pc with 4 gb of ram. the processor is Intel Core2 Duo CPU E8500 with 3.16 GHz. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks a lot for giving me a straight answer, I've been trying to figure this out for forever.

I'm not asking if I need to upgrade, I'm asking if anybody actually knows what I have here. The graphics is "Intel Q43/45 Express Chipset". I don't fully understand what that means. I don't think I do, actually. That's the point, I don't know how Dell's stuff works, and I was hoping somebody else would. All I know is I saw a motherboard on Amazon that listed its chipset, which sounds to me like the chipset is actually attached to the motherboard. I'm going to crack open my pc if no one can tell me so I can find out for myself, but I'd rather not risk screwing something up.
