psssst.... strip club owners are required to know the real names of teir strippers for legal purposes such as - you guesses it - background checks.

strip club owners may not care, new employment would. new employment would care even more if you lied about what you said during interviews, resume, etc. It would further hinder you from already finding a job, in an economy where even the most skilled have difficult times finding a job, while you are already at a disadvantage from stripping.

all things considered, not the best way to make money in the long run.

How are they supposed to trace it back to you if you used a fake name and got paid under the table? If you were applying for a job like an FBI/CIA agent, or a high ranking government position, sure I could see them finding out because the background investigation is so thorough, but very few jobs have that intense of a background check. As long as you haven't committed any crimes or are affiliated with any criminal organizations, you'll pass most background checks an employer would run on you.

Which is why so many strippers use a pseudonym. A lot of these places really don''t care if you use a fake name, as long as you're making them money.

The funny thing is that he was almost caught. Neo actually walks in on him while he was programming the computer. Hell, I'll be the only reason that Neo didn't suspect anything is because he can't read the code at that point.
