I'm one myself and I can confirm this is true basically my ancestors were from all over Europe, particularly on my mother's side. My dad's side is a mix of Scottish, Irish, and English; my mom's side has both mainland Italian and Sicilian, Austrian, German, more Irish, and possibly a bit of French somewhere in there.
