The story also seemed heavely inspired by the tale of Cain and Abel. So I personally thought the brother was a representation that the main character was mad, the brother was dead and he was seeing thing. The dreamless sleeps was also caused by the madness, as in only during the night was his mind not clouded. Serapharbiter had a much better ideathough.

Do you think there is any significance to the corpse in the hole has the eyes of the wolf

Not really. The art style has most of the people's eyes looking the same(slanted/relaxed) except for the protagonist and a few other background people.

Alright, I should start by saying that The Dude(protagonist) wearing his brothers face is a metaphor. The brother is actually dead, but the protagonist is living his life.

The Digging of the grave was a part where the protagonist couldn't sleep because he saw his brother digging a grave. What happened here is that the protagonist is remembering throwing his brother's body into the hole. Now as for the hole being there, remember how it smelled of lilac? Well his brother had a lilac bush. Its safe to assume that the protagonist was planning on murdering his brother, and it can easily be thought that the murders of the animals was staged and pinned onto "the monster".

Now to explain why its his brother digging up a hole. The protagonist is now desperate for an answer, so he goes back to where he threw his brother's body in and climbed down. Soon after, He sees his brother, but he looks at him. This shows that he was the monster, killing him to "wear his face" and live his life. He may have killed his brother, but he still lives on, through the insanity that the protagonist is the monster. This is why the (Reincarnated) brother never looks at him, because its the protagonist now wanting to look back on what he did.

In shorter terms he killed his brother then wore his skin like some bat shit insane schizophrenia. Right?

"Digging a grave was the protagonist burying his brother in a hole,
And when he went down into the hole, his insanity shows that he was not the one who died."

I got it up to the delusion part. I'm confused about "The dude is wearing his dead brothers face", like whaaat.

I'm not sure. I guess it depends on the scale of production. But in general, steel is a dirt cheap material, and for something this small, you wouldn't need any special steels. Stainless would do that trick.
#55 - Womens Study Major (12/13/2013) [-]
The price of steel depends also. Some companies use higher carbon-content alloys for stronger and more durable knives. Really, any minor detail in design can make a big money difference in a large scale production.
