You know a lot about law enforcement.

Any previous experience in it?

I've been finishing up schooling and prep training for policing for the past couple years.
I'll be applying soon.
So far I've just worked in Auxiliary police programs to learn the ropes and get some field experience.

But look at it from the other side.

If a cop is abusing his power and your rights how are you ever going to report him?

"Yeah he had on a dark blue shirt and pants, had sunglasses, a buzz cut, and drove in a black and white car." That's not like every cop on the force or anything.

I get that and I understand where you're coming from. But in Canada police are legally required to take notes of every instance and report every occurrence under the police services act.

Also, cops work what are called beats. They don't get to randomly Patrol where they like. An officer is assigned a beat every morning during roll call and a record is kept of who worked what beat and when.

Therefore all you would have to do is submit a complaint saying where the issue happened and the staff sergeant in charge of that platoon can go over the records and find who was working that beat on that day.

Yes, because patrol cops arrest cartel members ALL the time.

not like DEA or anything who never deals with that shit
User avatar #97 - sketchE (07/01/2015) [-]
9/10 times you are being arrested for breaking city crimes.
User avatar #83 - coolioshades (07/01/2015) [-]
Well first off I said Canada. DEA is American. Our RCMP deals with major drug crimes. Ontop of that believe it or not cartel members go about their daily lives too. For example if one of them happens to be driving home under the influence and he gets picked up at a RIDE program then yeah he's getting busted and will probably hold a grudge.

Secondly you completely missed my point. Officers don't make friends in their line of work. It's likely majority of people they deal with would like to get back at the officer for arresting them or issuing them a ticket.

As someone going into the law enforcement profession I don't want those people to be able to follow me home.
