Don't let that be a put off though. England has it's moments, they're far and few between. It's more to do with population amount in a small area, that and we have major idiots in charge of our politics.

Currently we have a choice of choosing between one dude who's so out of touch with the people, the moment he opens his mouth everyone laughs at him, and our current prime minister, who sets down a goal and at the last minute does a complete 180 and leaves things in the shit.

That's.

That's quite terrifying and I don't want to go to England now.

Just curious, how's your gun laws? America is having some disagreements and a lot of people are trying to take them away. I looked into other nations and saw that England banned them and your crime rates are pretty high, but I have to take in account that we both register different crimes differently.

Gun laws are incredibly strict. They're not banned outright, but just enough that it'd take serious money to get a gun and the process to get one legally is absurd. I'm not too sure EXACTLY the details of the law but as far as I'm aware, no automatic weaponry of any kind, both semi and full, no pistols or revolvers outright, rifles have to be breach or bolt, not sure if pump action is allowed, and I think they have to be of certain calibres and have to be of a certain length.

Illegally, there are still guns in the country, but because of how difficult it is to get them more often the guns are old, WW2 old. Still, while gun crime IS low, violent crime such as assault and murder is still prevailant because if a mother fucker wants to kill a mother fucker, a mother fucker WILL kill a mother fucker.

I keep wondering how many times I could punch Osborne in the face until I stopped doing it for fun and kept doing it out of a sense of duty. Probably when bone starts showing.

I agree that it doesn't really have an effect on crime. But I study law and it's great to have camera footage of something in a court case. Makes it much easier to find the truth.

It does when you're in court, in fact it is EXCELLENT evidence in court... just not at the time of the crime happening. Granted, I can fathom that it'd take ridiculous man power and funding to keep monitor of all that surveillance, but surely enough if there's commonly crime in a certain area with CCTV, the response times of police should be as accordingly fast.

I'm in North America. Depending where you live crime is high or low. My area seems to be quiet, however we do tend to have sex predators in seclusion, but for the most part I haven't heard of anything major.

I can confirm in my area in the last two years alone there's been numerous murder's, a child prostitution ring, burgalary on a daily basis and drug dealing on nearly all estates, and the twisted thing is, I don't live in the roughest are in the town.
