I don't think I'll use 2 Pyro flames.
I don't want them to know I'm about to use the pyro when they see me change weapons.
I'd rather 2H my weapon, have a pyro in my left hand, and then cast at an unexpected time.

Bleed is kinda bad compared to DS1 bleed since it has a cooldown bar now, also with that said i need to head out for July 4th shit. Didn't want to go but getting forced, but anyways happy holidays and goodluck to your future arguments and definitely good luck on your sl 1 pvp.

Yeah, bleed is kinda shit this time around, which kinda sucks, but the point of that build was never aimed towards doing much damage, rather than having a lot of bleed effect.
Have fun with your 4th of July, you who are in a time zone where it is not yet the 5th.

2 poison channeler tridents usually do the same thing unless someone has a good poison shield or great magic shield, which no one uses anyways. Then again that fog had such a damn long range.

I considered doing that, but then I realized I was thinking like a fucking scrub and infused them with bleed instead with powerstancing, for the sole purpose of screwing around with people.

Well the usefulness is mostly that it literally cuts the cast time for the second cast in half, but you are still entitled to play your own way. I personally use 2 catalysts to lay endless assaults and i guess it just kind reflected in my advice, but since you will only have 2 casts max i guess it makes sense to not need to worry too much about casting too fast.

I used an ascetic in the shaded woods to get the +2 ring, which gives 3 attunement slots.

Also the vanquisher's seal isn't worth it if your STR is low
User avatar
#36 - celestiasbeard (07/04/2014) [-]
Well getting the royal +2 is kind of necessary but I personally would also combine inv aurous with some elite knight gear to get a light but semi-protective armor set. Also you need to think about the fact that vanq seal requires no stats to power stance which allows you to put out moderate damage relatively quickly when combined with blade ring. Hitting around 70 seems unsatisfying at first but when considering it comes out as quick as it does, it makes up for its low damage. But you are right for not wanting to main it, which is why i recommended mundane club

I know it only counts on unarmed but blades ring still gives it some damage, also farming rhoy makes getting the ring easy. Got all the awestones i needed in about 2 hours. Also since i would only hope the character wont be doing too high memory of pvp the ring could help in some cases with some of the players more vulnerable to stunlocks. Also its counter damage can hit like a truck sometimes.

I don't need Aurous.
My armor set is the Penal Mask, Penal Shackles (because Pyromancy is good for SL1's), Vengarl's Armor, and the Elite Knight Leggings, and I'm still lightrolling.
If I don't use the crossbow or Blue wooden shield when I go PVP'ing with it, I could probably use even better armor
User avatar
#38 - celestiasbeard (07/04/2014) [-]
Hm, maybe I'm too into fashion souls but i just don't like the penal mask. All in all though for effectiveness, your build seems pretty practical. Kinda sucks you need to use a ring to get the att slots but I guess that's just part of the struggle with being deprived.
User avatar
#40 - walcorn (07/04/2014) [-]
It's not too bad.
I used an ascetic in the shaded woods to get the +2 ring, which gives 3 attunement slots.
if I wanted to, I could go total scrublord and attune forbidden sun for PVP.
While I dislike using magic or pyromancies, I think the fact that I'm SL1 makes up for it.
User avatar
#42 - celestiasbeard (07/04/2014) [-]
Yeah, being level 1 kinda excuses you for most cheap tactics. Just like how I will get 1-shot by most attacks makes me feel better about 1-2 shotting most people.
User avatar
#44 - walcorn (07/04/2014) [-]
Maybe I'll swap the Penal masks for one of those hoods that give one more cast for attuned spells so I can use 2 forbidden suns.
It's probably worth sacrificing a little equip load for that.
User avatar
#47 - celestiasbeard (07/05/2014) [-]
Oh definitely, not much hits harder then getting 2 tiny suns hurled at ya. But if you do that then might i suggest 2 pyro gloves for rapid firing them off.

#49 - walcorn (07/05/2014) [-]
I don't think I'll use 2 Pyro flames.
I don't want them to know I'm about to use the pyro when they see me change weapons.
I'd rather 2H my weapon, have a pyro in my left hand, and then cast at an unexpected time.

Bleed is kinda bad compared to DS1 bleed since it has a cooldown bar now, also with that said i need to head out for July 4th shit. Didn't want to go but getting forced, but anyways happy holidays and goodluck to your future arguments and definitely good luck on your sl 1 pvp.
User avatar
#81 - walcorn (07/05/2014) [-]
Yeah, bleed is kinda shit this time around, which kinda sucks, but the point of that build was never aimed towards doing much damage, rather than having a lot of bleed effect.
Have fun with your 4th of July, you who are in a time zone where it is not yet the 5th.

2 poison channeler tridents usually do the same thing unless someone has a good poison shield or great magic shield, which no one uses anyways. Then again that fog had such a damn long range.
User avatar
#76 - walcorn (07/05/2014) [-]
I considered doing that, but then I realized I was thinking like a fucking scrub and infused them with bleed instead with powerstancing, for the sole purpose of screwing around with people.
It's really fucking shit and you will get your ass handed to you 80% of the time, but it was fun.

User avatar
#59 - walcorn (07/05/2014) [-]

It's easy to roll dodge 2 casts in a row when those are the only 2.

Even with all that, I want the +2 version of the royal soldier's ring.
The extra equipload is much needed at Soul Level 1.
I'm stacking this with the Third Dragon Ring and Penal Mask so I can wear better Armor without the fat-rolling.

At such a low level level it might just be better to just get champion's ring, even if the damage output would be lower than wished it would still keeps weight light and having a mundane club with blade +1-+2 could put out some pretty decent damage. Well decent damage with the whole being capped at 6 thing. But that's just my opinion.

Way too much effort to gather those awestones
besides, it only counts for unarmed attacks.
