I hate Genji beyond words, honestly him, Roadhog (Hey guys, why don't we just make this tank able to do EVERYTHING) and Hanzo (Snipers should be rewarded for missing their targets!) But thankfully Genji is getting the shit nerfed out of him

okay, and? wouldn't be the first time that's happened. when activision did it it was awesome.

MGS5 was all about resource management, base management, upgrade trees and most importantly stealth combat. these things are PERFECT for a zombie game.

I understand the frustration when a company tries to shoehorn zombies into a game where they don't fit, but in the case of MGS5, mechanically, it could literally not be a better fit.

it's just the cool thing to do to hate on zombies now because that's what all the youtube critics do.

The thing here is this. Metal gear has always been a series revolving soldiers fighting soldiers for the sake of politics and idealogical beliefs. The supernatural was THERE, but it was downplayed a lot, especially in ways they explained some of it off as science. There's also the big factor itself, Metal Gear. Regardless of game, there was always a giant mech that the plot revolved around, it would be stupid to call it something it is not.

CoD gets away with it because The CoD games don't really have an over arching theme unless they were a sequel to a prior game, and the zombies section was just a side thing, an extra mode.

Thing is though, the game itself could be awesome, hell, I'd love their to be a zombie survival game made in the fox engine, especially if it uses gameplay from MGSV, but it shouldn't BE called Metal Gear.

then people would just complain that Konami "Reskinned" MGS gameplay. surely that gameplay is more important to the games identity than the themes and story right? if the themes change, but the gaemplay still feels like a metal gear game, then I think it will be worthy of the title.

I dunno I kinda feel like the fans hate Konami so much that no mater what they did, they would've been mad. granted, konami is a shitshow and I hate them too. but they could've made a generic, halfassed disapointing stealth game and slapped a MGS title on it and called it a day, but THIS... this took balls you have to admit. and I respect that. this actually looks interesting. an interesting spin on the core cameplay loop established in mgs5. and I want to give it a chance.

the issue is konami has spurned the metal gear fans, they played a key role in the true dissapointment of 5, the loss of all of kojima's other projects, like PT and zone of the enders. They even made a beautiful looking remaster of mgs3, for pachinko footage.

its a rightful anger, because konami has fucked up and fans want them to know it. Sure the game could be good, hell i want it to be at least fun so i can mentally disconnect the name and the game, but the problem is that no matter how good the game is it will always be the side thing tacked on to metal gear, like there is no prospect for the future there. Even if survive was the greatest survival game, they couldn't make a sequel, since its so ham fisted into the metal gear world

Here's the thing, nearly every game series you play will have a game or two that will have different gameplay to the last, but will still keep the themes. Metal gear itself has evolved it's gameplay from a top down stealth 'em up to an open world action game, with a couple of games with an entirely different gameplay altogether (Portable ops, acid, reveangence), put the stories all mesh because the overall themes match.

Resident evil is another example, between it's survival horror to it's action shooter gameplay of today, the themes have stayed overall the same, but people can agree that the quality of the games have gone down ever since they took the action route, because the theme didn't really fit. The gameplay to Resident Evil 6 isn't actually shit, but it was so off putting because you never felt tense. You were supposed to feel fear against the monstrosities that were set upon you, but you can't really do that if you were diving about getting headshots like a pro.

TLR, The title of a game pertains to it's themes, not the gameplay in particular. Don't slap a title on something if it has nothing to do with the title.

Hate on zombies? I love a good zombie game. And if they actually produce a more old-school survival horror game, I'll be pretty pumped. I'm just very wary of Konami after all the crap last year. And as a big MGS fan, having their first move with the series after Kojima left be making some alternate timeline... thing... Kinda not sure I'm on-board with that. Makes me worried they'll abandon its tactical sneaking action roots completely. Maybe not right away.

Eh. Put it this way. This game, properly managed, has a ton of potential. I don't have much faith in Konami's management right now. And while, even if it's abysmally bad, it can't devalue the old series... if it sells poorly we may not see any more Metal Gear for quite a while.

I think it does. Not for gameplay, necessarily, but it makes it seem like they're just trying to use the Metal Gear brand to bump up sales of a game they aren't confident could stand on its own.

Nah, those aren't kid sized. That's just how they are. They are meant to be insanely short dresses.

They're not that small. They're like averageish.

I want you to know that I had to google sexy maid just for this comment, but I would gladly google this again because I have discovered a new fetish.

actually they are pretty small, jap women have been evolving bigger breasts though

#105 - synthane (08/19/2016) [-]
Well, yeah, they are average sized for the sexy maid look. Compared to a normal dress that most females wear in public that is insanely short, though. Sorry I worded that poorly.
#106 - confusedasian (08/19/2016) [-]
They're about the same as a sun dress though. Although not as sexy.

But I would argue against that because I think sundresses are hot. Like at them man.

#109 - synthane (08/19/2016) [-]
I'm not as fond of the shorter sundresses, but I adore the full length dresses. I do see the appeal of the more common shorter variety, though.
#110 - synthane (08/19/2016) [-]
Although basically any full length dress is good with me.
