Wait, so is that the game that Bethesda's been talking about? That they're coming out with a new game and using their new game engine to make it or something?
User avatar #39 - jigglepuff (03/29/2012) [-]
It's almost certain that Fallout 4 will happen, in the mean time though Bethesda are working on an Elder Scrolls MMO i think.

User avatar #45 - cartergrey (03/29/2012) [-]
Bethesda is working almost exclusively on Skyrim DLC and content. They also have the rights to Fallout and have been hinting at a Fallout MMO for a long time and have taken out copyrights on names for one. So far there's nothing of an Elder Scrolls MMO. Bethesda also has been contracted to produce 3 Fallout games when they began F3. So Fallout 4 is guaranteed by contract.
User avatar #41 - onlan (03/29/2012) [-]
They should make a Fallout MMO! And if there really is a Fallout 4 coming out, I'm getting Collector's edition for sure!

I agree completely. Stake out somewhere quickly, and stay there camped out for about a month. I also have taken up free-running and the sort, but there isn't much chance to practice or anything here.
#16 - cartergrey (03/11/2012) [-]
Well, in terms of utility, focus on parkour over freerunning. Freerunning, while a noble endeavor is more a physical artistic expression with the body, while parkour is more closely related in practice and philosophy to a martial art based on movement and perspective. Also, I promise that you have stuff to train on, and with. The more time you spend putting in the effort, the wider the scope of your parkour vision becomes, and the easier your life is to live. Seriously, I can do amazing things now when confronted by the very tall physical of this world that were once easily thought to be impossible.

Upon this, a fine enough night, I declared joy to the night sky and the shifting clouds and glowing moon. Happy to be here, and be alive on this new holiday of mine. Happier still, to know that for some night, maybe even an instant, That this holiday made someone I care about also happy. That they bore a sincere smile; even for an instant.
Worthy, this night, or noting here. On this grey tablet where I stow what thoughts I can't go without. Glad to have been experiencing this night, and into the future I fight on, knowing that this isn't the furthest I can take this. I will see you soon, because VALEO PROSVM, and I'll earn that which I recieve. HPYBDAY

“There is no conflict between the ideal of religion and the ideal of science, but science is opposed to theological dogmas because science is founded on fact. To me, the universe is simply a great machine which never came into being and never will end. The human being is no exception to the natural order. Man, like the universe, is a machine. Nothing enters our minds or determines our actions which is not directly or indirectly a response to stimuli beating upon our sense organs from without.” -Nikola Tesla

Even though people claim beauty is subjective, it can also be objective in certain aspects. Take for instance the painting. The woman, at that time, was attractive. Why? Because fat meant a good life. You couldn't get fat by being anyone in those times. Why do we see fat people generally unattractive now? Well... because we live in the present where getting fat is a sign of laziness, and gluttony, and lack of self control or respect for your own body. A lot of other things are objectively beautiful or ugly, if you look within the context of the era.

GOD ******* DAMMIT!!! WHAT THE **** !!! I just ******* want that happiness, that place that I think I belong in. I ******* bled for four goddamn years through and through and I may as well be a stranger to you. ******* HELL.

Goddammit, I just want you to linger in my airspace a while. I want YOU to look into ME for once. I ******* Die Every Night Now. This is so much worse than whiling away those empty hours when I was alone. Now I am ALIVE, and It burns like hellfire through my eyes. My skin ******* CRAWLS when I think that you may be preyed upon as you leave my protective reach. How can I be such an transparent thing, passed over as though the air barely changes currents. Or am I worse?
Am I the pariah unaware of his state? Do I encroach upon you and your life as a parasite? **** ! Why can't you see me... just... once?

A groan of tedium escapes me, startling the fearful. I have become too accustomed to being a figment in time for you. But I'm still right here, giving blood, keeping faith. And I don't really have anything to show for it... I can only pray that the answers will come as my trials grow.

The world isn't going to get any better since we have caught ourselves in a feedback loop of institutionalized dissatisfaction and rage. We have practically eradicated the only things that give human existence any meaning (compassion and empathy) and then we piss and moan about how harsh and meaningless it all is. We have an economy which is fueled by nothing more than keeping everyone as needy and unhappy as it can, we accept as a maxim that others are different and that everyone is necessarily out for themselves, we only change (by necessity) from one unsustainable mode of living to the next unsustainable mode of living, and then we wonder why we feel unfulfilled, lonely and pointless... doing everything in our power to avoid coming to the obvious conclusion that we have permitted all of our personal misery and done our best to ensure the misery of everyone else in the process.

Nothing would be easier than making the world a better place, an ACTUAL better place for everyone, but since turning self destruction around requires a collective will and, most importantly, the ability to put aside pettiness, nothing is less likely to ever happen.
