There's a possibility that when cops want to arrest someone, they don't go to Chinatown or Little Seoul... They go to the hood and find the nearest "suspicious looking" black kid and shoot him because he probably has drugs on him.

Please, allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Daniel, and I help a homeless shelter and crisis center for homeless teens.
On any given day, my shelter has anywhere from 60 to 100 street kids staying with us or utilizing our services in some way.
90% of them have some criminal record.
70% of them are currently active in some criminal behavior.
68% of them (as of our last audit) were minorities.

Drugs, rape, and violence are an every day fact of life for me. I see it daily.
I also see the cops daily. Either dropping off a youth in need, responding to an emergency at my shelter, or looking to question/arrest a youth.

I can tell you cops are no one's friend. They work for the city, not the citizens. They are also flawed humans like the rest of us.

That being said, they have a tough job, and most do the best job they can. I have yet to see the bigots with a gun that you seem to think they are.

What I can tell you, from years of personal and professional experience, is the outcome of a police encounter often depends on how you react to them. If you were raised to treat cops with hatred and disrespect, then odds are your interactions with the police aren't going to go as well as someone who was raised to call them "sir".

I've seen black murderers and rapists be escorted away politely into the back of a patrol car without even being cuffed. I've seen white kids beaten, tasered, and maced over shoplifting. The deciding factor was how he reacted to the police.

nothing's wrong with it, it's just not enirely accurate, for me at least, I can be attracted to anyone, men, women, intersex, etc, no matter what they actually look like, it's their personality, I could easily get insanely attracted to someone who looks like susan boyle if they were a good person, while someone could look like a supermodel and I wouldn't even have a half-erection ever if they had a shitty personality

Through Fluid Sexuality; Fetishes can eventually evolve into a new sexuality... so you're not that far off.

And whether or not it's a mental problem or not, I honestly don't care. And personally, it's up for debate if I'm Pansexual or not, because my sexuality is a bit more... extreme... I'm not limited to sapience... or even biological. For fuck's sake, i have found a Brick wall sexually attractive before. A Brick Wall.

Now for MY sexuality, I'm willing to just call it extreme fetishism, or a mental problem (Hypersexuality). I can feel attraction to literally anything, regardless of Gender, Age, Race, Species, Intelligence, Whether or not it's alive, or even whether or not it actually exists. That shit ain't normal.
User avatar #108 - captainfuckitall (06/27/2014) [-]
No. No it can't. If you like masculine features or aspects, it's homosexual; if you like female features or aspects is heterosexual, and if you like both it's bisexual.

I don't care how much of a special snowflake you are, nobody does; the point is that there are a set number of things people find attractive that go along with evolution and nature, and anything else tends to be a mental imbalance.

Technicly, there is. I'm really against the "demisexual" bullcrap, but I can't help but to feel like this was how genders came to be in the first place. Sorta, but you might argue against that. Either way, it makes a vague bit of logical sense, but I'm not too well versed in either side.

Well, everyone has different morals, so whether or not they come from an objective source is moot in this lifetime (assuming there are others unless you are trying to live up to said standards).
In some cases, Evil is a matter of perspective. For instance, In the Wizard of Oz, the Wicked Witch wants the Ruby Slippers because they belonged to her dead sister and are by all rights hers. What's more, she is completely fine with killing her murderer to get them.
(On a side note, I would have preferred to see Wicked made into a movie instead of the clusterfuck that was OZ the Great and Powerful)

from your own link, definition 2B: "the behavioral, cultural, or psychological traits typically associated with one sex"
Women with big breasts is not a gender, big breasts is a physical trait
Women who like power lifting and monster trucks is a gender
Women who like makeup and barbie dolls is a gender
They are two very different women personality-wise

Yes the lines are a bit arbitrary and yes classifying people in this way would be tedious, hence why I specifically said "While I do agree with you that coming up with hundreds of redundant labels for every little thing is ridiculous"

There are people who act like lumberjacks and people who act like ballerinas and everything in between, regardless of what is or isn't between their legs and people typically need there to be an agreement between both physical attraction to their body type and physiological attraction to their personality type.
User avatar #63 - captainfuckitall (06/27/2014) [-]
My point was that there are different definitions for it that anyone can bring up to make a point. My country's definition of it, my personal definition of it, and your country's definition of it, might very well be different from your own. And while it is true that our feelings do not decide definitions, we as people would have to decide ON a definition to use before we can use it in an argument.

See, this is what I mean. To you, a Tom-Boy, or just a regular woman that enjoyed something off the beaten path, would classify as an entirely different gender. No fucking thank you. I'd much rather stick to 'personality traits'. YOU can think gender is subjective and changes based upon the most minute details of what you enjoy, but I do not, and will never think that way, because it is pointless and only serves to waste time (given the fact we already have a word for personality..."Personality". We don't need another).

I'm glad we can see that it's both useless though. Really, that does ease my heart.

But just because they act a certain way or enjoy a certain thing doesn't mean they are an entirely different gender. This isn't Tumblr, this is real life, it's a fucking personality trait, that's the extent of it. Just because some other asshole likes a certain kind of food doesn't make him the mysterious 45th parallel to the classified man-monkey-boy toy of the 23rd male dominant.

I feel the same way about myself, I have to say that if those speeches were used against me I would feel a little bit upset, but you ask for clear answers and sources, and you try to make the other person think before they speak, I like that in general, not just mindless bashing ahaha

Well I'm certainly glad you can see the good in my speaking skills. Frankly, I do it to get to the point. I hate having my time wasted for any reason, and so I extend that courtesy to others and try not to waste anyone else's time either; which leads me to being very blunt and brutal in my words so that they cannot be confused or misheard. Though I admit I was frustrated in that debate.
User avatar #511 to #510 - thediablo (01/26/2015) [-]
most of them are frustrating anyway

and yeah, it sucks when people start to get offtrack because of a single comment that you used as an example or something, it's proof that they are desperately trying to derail the conversation to their favor
User avatar #512 to #511 - captainfuckitall ONLINE (01/26/2015) [-]
Oh well. When you get into a debate with someone, the point should be because you are trying to change your own views, not theirs.

If someone doesn't want to believe something, they won't. End of story. You could use all the proof you want to tell someone the colour of the sky is blue, but if they want it to be green, it will be and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

Thus, the only person you should be focused on changing in a debate is yourself, and only do so to get more perspective on the issues important to you.

Due to your pointlessly rude comment on the post "Jesus ain't got time for **** ",

I have gone through 20 of your previous comments and thumbed them all down.

You're also a stupid, unfunny, tryhard feelfag. Exactly the kind of user that this site is infamous for.
User avatar #467 to #466 - captainfuckitall ONLINE (08/25/2013) [-]
I wasn't pointlessly rude. If you read it more carefully, you would find I am not insulting your god or faith, but rather, the people who spread it about; and even they are just doing it to themselves, while I am mearly making an observation

It's ironic you call me tryhard, considering you just went through the time to thumb-down my last 20 comments as if it would have any effect on me personally or my ranking here. It's also odd you call me stupid, considering you were the one who read it uncorrectly. And I think the fact I have so many comment thumbs anyways (including my own jesus comment) speaks to the point that I am, in fact, quite hilarious. "Feelfag", is that supposed to be a derogatory term for someone who is passionate about certain things? If so, then I take pride in it, as it is only through passion that things grow.

Considering you are pretentious, arrogant, immature, and without a sense of humour; you fit the criteria for '12 year old funnyjunker' far better than I do.
