Honestly, while that is true to a point, and things are made to become obsolete because its more profitable for us to buy a new one, if enough companies joined it, it wouldn't be hard at all to make a universal sort of connection that works with all the different parts. Kind of like an ATX motherboard. The only thing you really need to worry about much is the DDR3 of RAM it can handle, and the Chipset. Other than that, its mostly plug and play with the computer components. This looks like a brilliant idea to me. With enough consumer support, it could become more profitable for companies to upgrade and make better bits and pieces of it to compete with one another on the same platform. It all relies on gathering enough support to get people interested though.

So what you're saying is that with today's technology it would be much more feasible as a tablet?

If enough companies were to be involved in the building of the bloks for the phone they would most likely collaborate in a system that all of the bloks would run off of. Kind of like how a lot of what we use today runs java, the coding would all start the same way in order to be compatible.

ok, that's what he told me as well. I have never heard of that use of the term and was kind of confused when he announced "Now I'm double fisting". He didn't know the term in a different context...
