Can you imagine if it happened in the series though. It's like with him turning out to be the some of Raeghar. Neither have really been established in the series, and it would be like Arya turning out to be a Jedi.

I remember Thoros of Myr resurrecting Beric Dondarrion somwhere in Season 3. Then Mel encountered Thoros to pick up Gendry and they talk about it. Could happen.

It's just a sword. The world of GOT is similar to ours in that a better made weapon does not have magic bonuses applied to it like in Skyrim or WOW. It may be made of marginally better metal durability wise but it is still just a steel sword.

I believe GRRM has actually said that in a fight between two equally skilled warriors, one with a regular steel sword and a Valyrian steel sword, that the one with the Valyrian steel sword would come out on top.

Doesn't really matter what he says since it hasn't happened in the novels or show, physics itself is more or less the same in his world as it is in ours, rare magic aside. 2 Steel swords of similar size, shape, and weight, regardless of what would at best be minor differences in composition, do not a victory make. Better quality equipment does affect victory, but within the context of steel versus steel not so much.

If the two fightsers have equal equipment, and one has a normal high quality steel blade and the other has Valerian steel, it is still a fair fight more or less. The same rules apply to both swords after all, unless Valerian steel has the magic ability to cut through any armor, deflect any blow, and the like.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on the grounds that the author and the guy who created and writes the series has said differently. And valyrian steel isn't just a slightly higher quality metal, it's superior to even the best regular steel in every conceivable way. Because, you know, magic.

Oh, I get that the authors said that, I am just talking from a real world physics perspective. it's like Wolverine using his claws to cut a bulldozer in half. The qualities of adamantium don't really matter when Wolverine would need to literally be as strong as a maxed out Superman to physically force the blades THROUGH the steel. I remember someone on the chan doing the math, and it equaled like 70 tones per square inch of force to force the 5mm blades through 14 feet of steel.

Gotcha. I still don't know though, since, you know, Valyrian steel by definition has magic woven into it.

Even without Dawn Dayne would win.
Even Selmy said Dayne was the best he ever saw.

Dawn isn't actually made from Valyrian steel; it's apparently made of "metal forged from the heart of a fallen star".
