Aw shit your'e right haha. Good call; I misread the paragraph where it was talking about their jaw size. It was a guy hypothesizing the actual length based on tooth enamel, and the length came out to 13 meters. I read it too quickly and assumed it was saying its jaw height was 13 meters, which, logically is ridiculous especially when looking at the photo lol. My bad!

IFL is hardly a reputable source; It's like the buzzfeed of science. Even so though, the very end of the article states:

"We’re sure most people are happy with the idea that megalodons are extinct, but for the few individuals that are still hopeful they exist- we hope this is enough to convince you that science says no. "

So even then they're stating they don't exist, and throughout it they reiterate their size and lack of evidence for their existence. The article doesn't have any sources that support the theory that they exist, in fact the article is actually trying to state that there's no way they could exist, so they're not even siding with the idea that they're not extinct.
