It believe it is making fun of Beauty and the Beast by comparing it to Silence of the Lambs, basically comparing the psycho Buffalo Bill to Beast since they both hold someone hostage in their home.
The scene in particular where Buffalo Bill puts on lipstick and is wrapped in the same patchwork blanket and says something like "Would you fuck me? I'd fuck me. I'd fuck me so hard."

In the art world dude, it has to do with attitude, not skill. Pompous dickweeds will be ignored compared to energetic people who have a desire to learn and create. I cant speak to how the work is, because in Canada the economy is shit right now and anything in art is tough.

Design is taught, and anyone can learn it. ANYONE can be a designer, trust me. Its just a series of attempts of trying multiple ideas cheaply until you find the right cohesion. Art directors are the ones that have the creative depth to know what needs to be done, if you're the designer you just need to understand how to design, why it looks good, etc and to take direction. That goes for pretty much most fields.

It's all very competitive, so it really comes down to your attitude. If you wanna do it, do it. I'm going into graphic design because my school doesnt delve into logo design and its the closest thing to it. I'm also doing my own freelancing to build my skill. I want to do it regardless of the economy, the economy changes, my love for design won't. My attitude to get better, to keep doing it, is what pushes me forward and is what makes it enjoyable. I don't get decent grade cuz I'm a suck up or because im some sort of prodigy - in fact im far from it. I'm just willing to learn and dont take anything personally. Teachers like it (and they all work in the field) and therefore I get along with every single one of them.

Being out of a 5 year unhealthy relationship is also helping me focus on my goals and what I want to do. I have no idea what will happen in the coming years, and i dont want to know. I just wanna do my design and see where life takes me. I wanna enjoy the journey and not get caught up in "what ifs", you should do the same. Live to work, dont work to live. Enjoy life; even if its not glamorous.

Graphic Design, third year of my bachelor design course. Looking to be a logo designer specifically - or rather expand on my skills since I already do freelancing.

Thanks, Bknob. It helps hearing from someone who actually has experience going through that kind of stuff instead of just someone who read an article or some shit.

You're welcome man. While I might not be in game design, I am in the design sector and go to a design school so if you ever have any general questions about it, feel free to ask. I'm always ready and willing to help.

Is... Is that a good thing? Mine has been pretty plain. I work then I play video games. Living the dream.

Dildos is dildos, take it for what you will.

I had spinal surgery last year so theres that.

I'm basically doing the same but with college instead of work lol.

I need to go to college... And sorry about your back issues man. I hope whatever they did to your back will fix it permanently

Eh, if you can make it without getting student loans it's good. Thankfully I live in Canada and my school only costs $25,000 in total for 4 years. I'm able to pay it off without needing a loan, if I needed one I'd likely reconsider.

And thanks, all is fine now. I feel like Wolverine though! Titanium rods in my spine are neat.

Any eventful events in your eventing life?

Not really. But you know what the weird thing is? I was just having a conversation with my gf about me having no friends and why I still have a facebook. I told her that I guess I am kinda just hoping that one day someone will actually care about me as a friend enough on there to message me but they dont. And then i get on FJ and you messaged me. Turns out you're my only friend.

Sorry to hear man. I've been there. Facebook is full of fakes - i use only for business purposes to an extent. I hope messaging you made you feel a bit better. It's funy cuz the reason I know you - while we haven't ever really chatted - was because you mentioned me in a comment a long time ago, then I bugged you for a bit every now and then on your profile since you had no idea who i was haha. I don't think we've ever actually fully talked - so I guess formally speaking, pleased to meet you, man!

It did kinda make me feel better actually. And I know I was just telling my sister about you and how you randomly started messaging me and the conspiracy that you are stalking me since we both joined FJ on 2/22/2011. Pleased to meet you too!

It is a conspiracy, I admit it. I am actually you, you just don't know it yet.

I'm glad it helped man! It's always nice when those little things happen.

It all makes sense... I have no friends so I create my own and talk to myself... Well anyways what are you doing in college? Like what do you wanna be?

So I'm your IRL imaginary friend? neat.

Graphic Design, third year of my bachelor design course. Looking to be a logo designer specifically - or rather expand on my skills since I already do freelancing.

Anything you're looking forward to?

Nice. I want to do something like making video games but I just don't know which part I want to work on

Sorry for not replying. School is shit.

That's dope, I know some people going into that for character design in my school.

Seems like its hard to get jobs with that kind of stuff though so it worries me. Especially if I just dont have what it takes.

Fuck. Sorry to hear. Especially with a fiancee, that's really rough. I hope you're okay, hang in there! If anything I've learned the pain eventually clears once you realize how much better it is without the torment - though the pains still exist, they tend to dissipate over time. Just remind yourself over and over that it's for the best of both parties.
