Yep all except Under A Velvet Cloak.
Bearing an hourglass is your favorite right? Mine was For The Love Of Evil.
User avatar #4 to #3 - bearinganhourglass (08/06/2013) [-]
I haven't read Under a Velvet Cloak yet, either. I own it, though.
Yes, Bearing an Hourglass is my favorite. Is it obvious haha. Why is For Love of Evil your favorite?

It didn't look as interesting as the others to me but you never know.
Yeah it is pretty obvious lol. Why is it your favorite?

Cause Parry isn't evil, he is just filling his role and dislikes the role of God (JHVH) and challenges that constantly. He started out as a religious guy and wants what he thinks is fair for everyone and doesn't want to hurt anyone.. The symbolizing to the Bible was pretty cool and a lot of the ideology behind the whole thing was really intriguing. It even goes as far to model after the book of revelations with the archangel gabriel. I really like studying theology and how it effects society, for good or bad, it's all interesting to me.

Norton is one of my favorite characters. He's a very selfless, honest, caring man. He also took a needed role, limiting his life to 40 years, knowing when he was going to die. It also gives the concept that there is a finite amount of time, considering he was going backwards, rather than forward. That book was just full of interesting, thought provoking ideas. So was On a Pale Horse.

I can understand why you like it. I do sympathize with Parry. Everyone thinking him evil.

He was one of the stronger characters in all the books. Yeah they played around with tons of time tricks and twists.

You have a favorite part in On A Pale Horse? Mine was the atheist who committed suicide and what happened to him afterwards.
User avatar #8 to #7 - bearinganhourglass (08/06/2013) [-]
That's my favorite part, too. It definitely got me thinking. Such a simple scene, though,

User avatar #14 to #13 - bearinganhourglass (01/14/2014) [-]

I'm having my friend read the series, but he's still on the second book.
User avatar #19 to #18 - elitehacker (01/14/2014) [-]
the long road.. is he enjoying it so far?
User avatar #24 to #19 - bearinganhourglass (01/14/2014) [-]
I know. Sadly, they are stubborn and can't see past certain parts and are missing out on a good story.
User avatar #22 to #19 - bearinganhourglass (01/14/2014) [-]
Because they're lame. The intro and the concept of magic and science coexisting threw them off
User avatar #23 to #22 - elitehacker (01/14/2014) [-]
all they need is to spend an hour with lilah/lilith
User avatar #20 to #19 - bearinganhourglass (01/14/2014) [-]
I think so. Well, I hope so. My other friends never gave it a chance.
User avatar #21 to #20 - elitehacker (01/14/2014) [-]
