I used to have a friend who was a "gamer girl" Needless to say, the friendship didn't last long. She was an attention seeker.

I once had a friend who played WoW for like 10 minutes, then later spammed facebook with pictures and statuses about how much she loves WoW. Then I asked her if she loves it so much, can she tell me what race is the girl on one of the pictures she posted? Then came the awkward silence.

This girl was a huge Halo fan. We started playing D&D together, but she didn't come as much as I did. She told everyone how we're "such nerds" because of it. She maybe joined for 5 sessions max.

Jesus.... Talking for these people should be illegal.

I know. She made me seem like one of those girls. The only people who know I game are my friends, family, strangers on the internet who think I'm a guy, and the creepy guys in the gaming shop in my town (small town) who stare every time I go in there.

Sounds creepy. o.O Anyway, it sucks when people think you are one of those girls just because you're talking to one of them.

That and I see so many gamer girl posts. All I try to say is not all girls who game are like that, and there's a sea of red thumbs.

Strange, most people complain about gamer girls then they drown you in a sea of red thumbs when you try to prove not all of us are like this.... well, this is the internet so what do we expect?

Well, mostly, at least there are not the "Gamer gurlz", there are normal nice girls and psychos, but even the second kind is bearable with a little patience.

Same in WoW, the only people who know I'm a girl is my guild, mostly because we speak on TeamSpeak a lot, but there are others and they don't care about the gender at all.

My friend and I were just talking about this. He says WoW is one of the only online games where girls are normal. Good thing my PlayStation games are one player. I talk to some League players on Skype, but only ones that are friends people my friends know.
