Wakfu, this guy is Nox.
If you haven't watched it don't continue reading. This is after he is beaten by Yugo and his attempts at going back in time to reunite with his family and undo all the evil he has done have failed, merely bringing him back about a few minutes/seconds back in the past. He will go on to teleport to his family's grave and promptly disintegrate, as his body is far too old and the magical power that sustained him no longer can, leaving behind his iconic mask and armor. Honestly a really good antagonist, how he was written and portrayed.

I would say go for it, it's got plenty of content out there for you.

I honestly find those kinds of antagonists to be the best kinds in a story. Someone who may have had extremely good intentions but was driven off due to some crazy ass accident or purpose or something that basically made their sanity slip. Then they redeem themselves in some way or at least try. Some beautiful and tragic stories come from characters like that.

The beautiful thing about Nox is that he intended to undo everything, and I mean everything, he did that was wrong as he reasoned that by going back in the past he never did any of the atrocities he needed to do to get there. He fully understood that he had to be evil to get what he wanted, but he could be evil and not hurt a soul in the end of it all. He had the plan, and never hinted at wanting anything else (besides maybe rivaling the god Xelor). The fact that he not only failed to go back to his family, but also could not undo all the things he did... it broke him. All that evil, for a few minutes... He's a wonderfully written tragic character.
