No. Over exerting your bodies limits causes it to use up all of your glycogen (sugar) storage, causing your body to get tired quickly. The other form of energy is fats, which get used as energy slowly.
The best method of burning fat is to begin slow, walk, then progress into a light jog and depending on ones athletic level can begin to increase their speed or keeping it simple. The goal is not to get tired within minutes, or hell, even 20 minutes. Athletes are more capable of continuing to use fats as energy while running, only slowly using up their stored sugar.
Crossfit by all means without having prior training and warm ups to do intense exercise, all you are doing is injuring your body. It's like trying to snap your body into flight or fight and by no means the body is meant to perform like that and call itself exercise.

And where does the energy to restore your glycogen come from when you are at a net calorie deficient diet? The reason that the glycogen is being used up first is because its fast. The fat need a lot more time to send out energy, but the fat is also being used to restore your glycogen.

What you are referring to is burning fat AS you train. Sure, walking 30 mins will burn more fat than running 20 minutes as you are doing the exercise. But overall the more intense running will burn more fat, it just takes longer time, which isn't a problem.
