The ratio is incredibly different. The amount of infertile straight couples is nowhere near the percentage of gay couples that will even have kids via surrogates. Seeing how that's not a good enough answer for you, then let's bring up the health of gay men? Now, lesbians tend to not have as much trouble with STDs but they still get them, but gay men (which according to the CDC only 2.5% of people in America are gay) make up by far the largest demographic of people diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. Which if we have universal healthcare anytime soon (and not the retarded Obamacare that's assbackwards) the rest of America will have to pay for.

And before you say that with that logic we should also make people lose weight and not smoke or drink, I agree. But it's harder to get people to stop doing something they did already than it is to not allow something that was never allowed.

So am I saying make gays suffer? No, but I'm saying from the viewpoint of the government, they simply do not offer anything. No new tax sources, no new voters, nothing. It's just that it gets left-wing voters who are straight if you support gay marriage and then those voters will have kids.

I mean honestly, look at how liberal some states are like California and New York, yet they will not keep gay marriage and keep flirting with the idea of it.
