It's pretty much the same posts.

9GAG has less of the nerdy bandwagon stuff like MLP or anime, so in a way I prefer 9GAG, although I spend way more time on FJ and have been lurking here for years.

I spoke for both of us. If you want to think you're somehow better at this than I am, then go ahead, but I can promise you, we've both made all the same mistakes here. Personal attack or no, you've failed to understand me, and since others seem to get it (or at least they did, before they lost interest in this disappointing spectacle we've conjured up), I doubt it's through my lack of clarity.

Anyway, I'm not going to bother now. It's all too clear that I can't "win".

I think the bottom line is just that neither of us is really trying to understand what the other is saying. That's why this is so pointless. There is no way in hell that you've done your best to understand what I'm saying, and you've annoyed me too much for me to stop, pause and do the same for you.

Perhaps if we weren't a pair of self-convinced dickheads (go on, deny it and prove me right) this would have ended in a nice way, but instead one of us now has to storm off in the huff and look like a stroppy teenager.

We have both behaved shamefully here, goaded by anonymity and based on what is really a small difference in opinion.

Alas, the least entertaining debates I have are with others like myself.
#183 - auryn (06/30/2014) [-]
Speak for yourself.

I have not behaved shamefully, I stand by my points and try to be concise, back them up rationally and get to the point.
If you misinterpretted this as a personal attack than it's a miscommunication on your side.

In the meanwhile you hardly go into any arguments substantially and keep drifting off into all kinds of side-alleys.

I think you're saying that based on your moral opinion of the act rather than any factual risk assessment.

That, or perhaps the reason I think it takes guts is because it's something I personally wouldn't do. Maybe I feel it's risky purely because I think it's morally incorrect.

Either way, it looks to me like, no offence intended, you aren't really taking in all possibilities before you type.

Can I go now? I am so bored of this conversation that I might cry.
#180 - auryn (06/29/2014) [-]
It looks to me like you're trying to squeeze yourself out of your previous statements instead of admitting that either you might've been wrong or you just have very low standards to consider this risky or genius.

If not than for future reference you should really learn to express yourself more clearly and be more precise in your choice of words instead of accusing your fellow men for not taking in all possibilities., because 'risky' means high possibility of danger, failure, or loss and has nothing to do with morality.

This conversation could've been over long ago if you would've been a bit more rational and less assumptious, I have no idea how my morality has anything with estimating the risk of a situation or why you think I'm basing what I say on my moral opinion.

Prostitutes don't have intelligence levels akin to children; i.e. they might catch you out. That means you'd have to be an idiot to think it involves zero risk, meaning it takes balls to do it.

Also, lollipops are a commodity. Sex can be treated as one, but it's not really. You don't "steal" anything by having sex for free, except an experience.

That hooker will probably just pass those fake bills on as if they're real ones, and never find out. That's not stealing at all, it's more like a con, and even then, if she never finds out then there's not even any harm done to her.

We can keep this going all day, but I don't think either of us are going to change stance on this. Do you?
User avatar #129 - mathmanchris (06/29/2014) [-]
> You don't "steal" anything by having sex for free, except an experience.
Sex in that context is a service you agreed to pay for, if you don't pay, it's the same as fare dodging. It's illigal.
User avatar #151 - TheHutchie (06/29/2014) [-]
A service and a commodity are different things. You can't "steal" a service because it has no physical existence.

I'm not saying that I think it's okay to avoid paying for a service, and I'm not trying to justify his doing it - I'm just saying that it's not quite the same as shoplifting or hotwiring somebody's car.
User avatar #161 - habanaro (06/29/2014) [-]
You're not really 'stealing' the service, you're stealing the money you owe the person for performing the service. If someone cleaned your house and you refused to pay them, you're withholding what was agreed to be their money.
User avatar #162 - TheHutchie (06/29/2014) [-]
That's exactly my point.
User avatar #163 - habanaro (06/29/2014) [-]
So, it's still stealing but in a different context. It's just nitpicking then.
User avatar #164 - TheHutchie (06/29/2014) [-]
The fact that you felt the need to explain the difference to me determines that one of your comments is a lie.
User avatar #165 - habanaro (06/29/2014) [-]
I'm not really sure which one you mean, then. Someone said it was stealing, you said no it wasn't because it's a service, and I was just trying to point out it was stealing the promised transaction-- which is still stealing.
User avatar #166 - TheHutchie (06/29/2014) [-]

User avatar #159 - TheHutchie (06/29/2014) [-]
Sounds like you have a more evil mind than I do.

#167 - auryn (06/29/2014) [-]
Sounds like you're making assumptions based on on unconnected matter.

I don't see how estimating the probability of getting caught or ways to avoid it in a hypothetical situation regarding someone else says anything about my morality, but okay.
User avatar #168 - TheHutchie (06/29/2014) [-]
And I don't see how you have any idea about my balls unless you saw that leaked video, but I guess it's fine for you to do the same?
#173 - auryn (06/29/2014) [-]
I base that on the fact that you consider this action as something that takes guts.

Which, no offense intended, says a lot about the size of your balls, figuratively.
User avatar #177 - TheHutchie (06/29/2014) [-]

User avatar #181 - TheHutchie (06/29/2014) [-]

User avatar #184 - TheHutchie (06/30/2014) [-]
I spoke for both of us. If you want to think you're somehow better at this than I am, then go ahead, but I can promise you, we've both made all the same mistakes here. Personal attack or no, you've failed to understand me, and since others seem to get it (or at least they did, before they lost interest in this disappointing spectacle we've conjured up), I doubt it's through my lack of clarity.

Anyway, I'm not going to bother now. It's all too clear that I can't "win".
#185 - auryn (06/30/2014) [-]
Okay, so for clarification, why did you think this was genius or ballsy again?
Because so far I haven't heard a single clear convincing argument yet.

instead of blaming me for not understanding you have you ever taken into account the possibility of what you're saying just isn't that agreeable.

Sex in that context is a service you agreed to pay for, if you don't pay, it's the same as fare dodging. It's illigal.
User avatar #151 - TheHutchie (06/29/2014) [-]
A service and a commodity are different things. You can't "steal" a service because it has no physical existence.

I'm not saying that I think it's okay to avoid paying for a service, and I'm not trying to justify his doing it - I'm just saying that it's not quite the same as shoplifting or hotwiring somebody's car.
User avatar #161 - habanaro (06/29/2014) [-]
