Walt Disney wasn't alive for the 90's, 90's disney is still part of this generation of disney as far as he's concerned, besides that Brave, tangled and frozen were easily on par with Pocahontas, Mulan and the hunchback even if not in the same level of as beauty & the beast, Aladdin or Tarzan.
#57 - angelious (07/21/2014) [-]
original fantasia is the best disney movie thou.

the fantasia 2000 was also great. and i think rapunzel, princess and the frog and frozen were all good disney movies.

Escoos u.

The 90's movies were indeed amazing, Hunchback of Notre Dame being my overall favorite, but the 40's and 50's also brought us a lot of equally fantastic movies. The 60's and 70's were pretty damn sparse of animation from Disney, but they still brought us goodies like Sword in the Stone, Jungle Book, Aristocats and Robin Hood. Then the 80's picked up speed again and towards the end gave us The Little Mermaid.
#84 - auryn (07/21/2014) [-]
I know, and I completely agree.

And definitely information worth sharing.

But if we had to choose one decade it'd be the 90's in my opinion.

I have yet to see Frozen but everyone i know who's sense of intellect i actually respect says it was awful.... but there's also a shit load of hype over how supposedly awesome it was.
User avatar #77 - skittlesinexcess (07/21/2014) [-]
It was okay.
Any one that says it was bad is just nee jerking to its popularity.
It wasn't as good as some people say but not as bad as other people say, it was just okay.
#85 - auryn (07/21/2014) [-]

Pretty standard formulaic animation movie in a lot of regards, but with either high predictability at key moments OR a complete lack of credibility.
Too many plotholes, no memorable characters.

Mediocre songs, cheesy lyrics and subpar singing performance, also the production quality sounds a bit amateuristic.

It had the most anticlimactic ending, and at times the whole teenangst metaphore was so blatant it made cringe a bit.
It's the cinematic equivalence of seeing insecure schoolgirls struggle through puberty, not something I enjoy in real life either.

As most stories involve: a hero, the conflict, and the overcoming of the conflict. This one did too, well sort of, a quick plot summary is that Elsa just needed to get over herself.

The movie lack in all the critical departments, one of the bigger flaws for me was that I felt little character immersion, there's not much that wants to make you relate to the characters and the parts that do feel kind of forced.
What also doesn't help is that story-wise Elsa is the protagonist but the even less interesting character Anna gets more screentime, you end up feeling little for both.
What further aggravates this is the sometimes questionable character motivation.

I found the movie very shallow, and ironically, for a movie that revolves around change of character it has very little of it.
It also has the most painstakingly hackneyed cliché of a moral, and something that should be considered common sense, not a lesson.

I haven't seen all the new Disney films, but this is by far this is the worst Disney film I've seen. And in general just an unsatisfactory movie.
I can see why this project was shelved several times. But even after all the story treatments it still feels a bit unthoughtful and doesn't tie together that well.

Beautiful animation though, and some of the jokes were funny, but that's about it.
User avatar #46 - blesstheinternet (07/21/2014) [-]
it's overly hyped because people love the song Let It Go. the whole movie is amazing to them because of a 3 minute musical scene.

i've seen most of it. it's not bad, it's a good, solid movie. but it's not the deepest thing in creation like people are saying. it's a good story, but there are lots of good stories in the world.

Not to mention spiders dont eat, but rather suck their prey's blood out. And I believe they dont mind if insides get sucked out too As far as I know, anyways.

it's not just blood my friend its all of the preys insides i know this because i have 4 tarantula's (there really fuckin awsome pets) one time my biggest sadira bit into a super worm and it juices squirted out and hit the enclosure window

I was thinking about getting a spider-pet (A Tegenaria domestica or 'barn funnel weaver') but I don't want to imprison one and make it unhappy.
I also don't really know if these guys would want you to be with them a lot or rather the other way around.

How big are your cages, if I may ask?
I imagine if they're big enough for a tarant they'd be big enough for my look-for pet.
#68 - muchswagsuchwow (07/20/2014) [-]
well first of all i rarely handled mine because that would never happen in the wild secondly my uncle gave the enclosures and set them up for me so i don't know the size's by heart (sorry) and lastly the barn funnel is higly aggressive i mean sadira is but i have experience so it kind of balances it out as in i know when she pissed and when she isnt but if this is your fist spider i would look into a mexican painted leg very docile and very hardy
also picture of sadira
User avatar #72 - flybager (07/20/2014) [-]
The spider you recommened seems a tad bit big for my league, but I thank you for the recommendation anyways.

I also didn't figure they were aggresive, when I find one in its habitat of own choosing, I can usually nudge them on my hand to take them outside, and I don't need to close my hand either. As opposed to those hoppy jump-spiders. Little buggers are too scared to realise I'm trying to help.

I think it's mostly about how you treat them wether they get aggressive or not, the Tegenaria, that is

Her legs remind me of sunflower seeds, and she looks very fluffy. a very good-looking spider!

well you obviously dont know funnyjunkers

if you ever paid attention to them. they largely bitch at anything that contradicts mainstream ideals of political corectness

in the case of this pic, providing the non-PC truth about race/species, the FJ kids would bitch about it being 'racist'

then again you seem to devote your time to shitmouthing others instead of paying attention to them
