The worst thing that I did witness was a guy attempt to shoplift in the central area of toronto, a 7/11 that was near city hall

I remember back in like 96, maybe 97. I was like 9 or 10 years old. I took my dog out on Christmas morning and there was a body across the street from my building. Cops were just getting there and covering it up. Dude was stabbed just minutes before I got out there.

Ive lived most of my life in Scarborough and if you want to judge Canada based on Scarborough, it would be like judging America based on Detroit

Very true. There are places in Scarborough and Toronto that are fantastic. Rouge Valley, West Hill, Meadowview and all over the gta. But like every major city, there's your ups and downs. Even in Newfoundland. You have places like Airport Heights which is a close knit area just on the outskirts of St.John's and then there's Shea Heights on the other side of the city where guys will fight you for making eye contact. But yeah, your statement is very true. Most of the country and even the city is a good place with good people, especially outside of major cities.

It was in the central area of Scarborough... It was in an area close to the Toronto Travelodge Hotel. The one close to the Wal-Mart and Movie Theater

The one on Markham Rd just north of the 401. If so then yeah. I live like 10 minutes from there. This part of Toronto can be sketchy as fuck, and when you hit the Malvern area just north of there it gets worse. The joys of living in Scartown.
