Agreed on all points. But really, them Dragonlords. First Elder Dragon creatures printed since original Bolas before he was a planeswalker, and they're terrible. Atarka and Ojutai are the only ones I kinda like effect-wise. Kolaghan would be playable if it weren't for that abysmal CMC.

9/10, point taken off for Dragonlords uselessness. FRF legend dragons are way better, in fact Atarka World Render is the commander of my tribal dragon edh and wrecks face. Wedge support and interesting new colored commanders out of KTK was awesome. And I love how clever the story was with the divergent timelines and how the dominion of the dragons was same shit, different timeline, and also how the rule of the dragons physically and spiritually changed the wedges to dual colored.

i really liked everything that they implemented in the block, bringing back delve and rebound, and also setting up the lore for ugin and sorin (battle for zendikar hype) limited in khans of tarkir was always really fun, and fetch lands made modern a more fun place to be. id give it a 9.5/10

Fair point, but still, two different versions of the same planeswalker in back to back sets? And that makes, what, 5 different Ajanis now?
#25 - artaisiousx (05/18/2015) [-]
caller of the pride, vengeant, goldmane, mentor of heroes, steadfast, yeah wow 5 of them, and really only one playable one vengeant sees some modern play and very scattered legacy play

Overall disappointing though. The gods were cool and thoughtsieze reprinted was nice, but two different Ajani's in a single set honestly pissed me off. The story was waaaaay more focused on Elspeth and we only got one of her. All the other cards were pretty meh.
#23 - artaisiousx (05/18/2015) [-]
there was only one ajani in theros, it was mentor of heros
elspeth, xenagos, ashiok were in theros
kiora was in born of the gods
and ajani was in journey into nyx
m15, which came out a little bit after, had another ajani in it hes the really bad one. if i had to find a creature analogy, it would be loyal pegasus

Again, if the situation comes up I'll use them. The other difficulty is finding a picture of the card's art without the card itself.
