nobody started shit to bring america into WW1, only a change in president and policy WW2 was, theoretically, going to end soon enough anyway, as russia was also brought into the war within a few months of that and germany's invasion was stalled in the battle over england anyway

False. Britain repeatedly asked for American assistance in WWI. And The USSR was ill equipped to fight the Nazis at the beginning of the war, as evidenced by their falling back and losing over 1000 miles of territory and an estimated 15 million citizens killed. The russians were only able to go on the offensive when Germany's resources were diverted to counter the American forces approaching from the west. Germany's invasion of Britain was stalled in large part because the Americans kept the British supplied with food and munitions.

True, but the British could not have held without foreign resupply, as most of their factory areas had been destroyed by the Luftwaffe. And Im just saying that without American forces, the war likely wouldve ended quite differently , as France was crushed into surrender and Britain was pounded by the Blitzkrieg and found it difficult to mount a major counterattack. Remember Dunkirk? The arrivl of American forces in France was the turning point in the European theatre which allowed the allies to go on the offensive.

excellent point but britain was also being supplied by other countries as well, and still had a number of their factories working. the french werent completely defeated, as the resistance movement still fought against the germans where they could, and a majority of the soldiers survived dunkirk thanks to the timely arrival of all the civilian vessels to carry away the troops, although it would be the last foothold in france until D day (which americans where a part of but didnt do all by themselves there were 5 beaches attacked they only attacked 2) and others offensives would brings the allies into europe mainland like operation market garden
