Yeah, I know, life is complicated, huh? But the grey areas are what make us human. Some of the 1% must have worked hard to get to where they are, and I respect them for it! But hey ho, on with life. Meh, I guess I went when I was 17, last, so I didn't get to experience the rough side. I was sheltered by my relatives haha. And trust me, I've heard of the rough side of ATL! I guess I was lucky!

And I personally blame the 1%. They're the ones who pull the strings. The rest of us are just sheep or puppets. And those of us who feel we're different and unique often don't have the inclination to stand forward and fight the system. because people don't believe they can make a difference. But hey, I'm an optimist, I believe if you shout loud enough, for long enough, maybe one day, other people will start shouting with you.

Yo I feel what you're trying to do, but watch what you say. And im not trying to sound like some crazy religious nut because im not about that lol, not saying I dont follow Islam the way its supposed to but like im not gonna go around yelling "you're all going to hell"..which is a sin btw..anyways like I was saying, all this war n what not is clearly playing out as Prophet Muhamed (SAW) said it will towards the day of Qiyamma which is basically means the day when the world ends and such. So the wars wont stop, all this Muslim hate will only increase and the hypocrisy amongst the Muslims such as the terrorizing ones in the middle east will also increase. And when I said watch what you say, it was in regards to what you said about yourself saying that you're not a perfect Muslim and whatever..I know that where you live/grew up, its not very common to act towards a religious life style. But please man I beg of you please, try and change yourself...no one is perfect nor will any of us ever be. But since u at least recognize your wrong doings, try and change them before its too late. Coming from one Muslim to another.

Those countries are theocratic, correct? And the religion that they follow, promotes peace and love, am I right so far?
Then how come when we give them weapons to protect themselves from each other, they turn on each other and start fighting?
We gave them the weapons, that I don't agree with doing, but if those theocratic nations' religions promote peace, then WHY DO THEY FIGHT WHEN GIVEN THE CHANCE TO DO SO?
From what I've learned; it's because both of the religious groups in the middle east says that their god gave them that land. That shouldn't be a reason to start a war. "My imaginary friend says that this land is mine."
"Well, mine says the same thing, so you're wrong."
"No, you're wrong."
"NO, YOU'RE WRONG!"
"NO, YOU ARE THE WRONG ONE!"
Sounds like a peaceful religion too me.
#662 - zombieplayground (11/24/2012) [-]
This is the worst argument I have ever heard. They follow a religion and because of this they do everything the religion says (like promotes peace). Great logic there. Hey as a christian I'm gonna go cut my hair, eat some shellfish, and wear clothes of two different fabrics. Religion does not define who people are. Some people who practice Islam are nice and peaceful people...and some are assholes. Every religion has them. Never, ever, use this argument again because of how ignorant it makes you sound.
User avatar #661 - arbazio (11/24/2012) [-]
The religion is peaceful, the people are just flawed. And you have to remember, that these people have been fucked over so hard, for so long, that they don't really give a fuck about being civil any more. I mean, looking back as recently as the British Empire, you can still see the effects of the today. My family originate from Pakistan, and everyone I met over there were just normal everyday people who were concerned for the safety of their friends and family. But then you get dickhead terrorists who fuck shit up.

When I visited Pakistan a few years ago, the security was so tight. You don't hear about half the shit that goes down there. I was a mere 2 or 3 miles from some suicide bombing on more than one occasion. And trust me, when I say - the local people do not advocate these actions. In fact, they condemn them. But what can they do, other than keep their heads down and get on with their lives. You only hear about the negative side of "Islam" in the media, and now the word has become synonymous with "terrorism".

I can assure you, the majority just want to get on with their lives, but in places like Syria and earlier on, Egypt, etc. they have been oppressed for so long, that they've had enough. Do you condemn them for fighting for their rights and standing up to those oppressors? Would you not do the same, if you were in their shoes?

Thanks for assisting me in trying to make that Saltyfries-guy realise what he's doing.
It really does something with me seeing guys like him.

I mean he's been granted these opportunities whereas people in for example India have nothing. People who would've tried to make something of what he has been given. Idk it just makes me feel so bad.

Anyways, have a good one and thanks

No worries buddy, I could see you were trying to do a good thing! I know what you mean, but just because those people are suffering tremendously, and as unfair and horrifying as some of that suffering is, I don't think it detracts from his personal struggle. For him, his pain is more real than we can imagine! But yeah, I can tell you have a big heart, for taking the time out to try and help a stranger, and now I'm sure of it, as you are aware of the suffering that goes on in other parts of the world and it hurts you as it does me.

*pic related* It's one of my favourite pictures ever, unfortunately I don't know the original source, and it reminds me of the vastness of this universe, and the significance of an individual living entity!

Keep being awesome and take care!
